Hey editors, the deadline is fastly approaching. So make your mandate decisions and plans to get your New Era rosters right by 4/30. We can figure out creator assignments after that. Action, Cosmic and Dark are ready to roll. We still need to iron out Pulp, Avengers, X-Treme and Strange Tales. Get busy editors.

Also don't forget your regular May solicits. I am aiming at a 5/2 new AOM comic day posting.

Will update cheat sheet below momentarily.....

Default Sample Completed Outline (MARVEL ACTION)

Hey Bullpen, highwayguy has been kind enough to let me use his outline as an example of what I am looking for from each line. Hopefully this sample outline will help clear up any confusion or uncertainty you may have. Using the ACTION characters, the line will look like this for the New Era starting June. (and possible late adjustments made by 4/30) I have gone ahead and placed the creators and concepts in the outline as well, though you guys will have past 4/30 to finalize creative teams if you want. You may notice a new spot for "rotating artist.". You guys will get to select an extra artist for your staff to use as a "fill in" or rotating spot for any of your titles, with the rules remaining that an artist can pencil one issue per month. Just gives you guys an extra creator to use for special occasions, story arcs or one-shots. Anyways...debuting in June...AOM proudly unveils....MARVEL ACTION!

The Plague Doctor is a created villain that made his debut back in MI:13 #7. He hasn't been seen since. But he'll return in the new era of Captain Britain & MI:13 deadlier than ever.

Here are some illustrations that I've found online that represent the basic appearance of the character.

Not yet. I haven't heard from him recently.
    I will try his email.

If you want to go ahead and make your choices for WWBNATHC, the Title formerly known as The Regulars, Ass-Kickers and the brand new very delicious book...that would be great. I know you were close to having them sorted already. If it comes down to the wire then you may have to make some additional calls for the other 3 books. I have some early feedback and ideas from BJC in my PM box that I will send you if we need to do that. I imagine he will come through just in the nick of time. BJC may be a bit of a procrastinator but consistently delivers the goods, he works good under pressure.

Cool, well I'll cheese over things for a day or two about the books I'm in charge of but I think what I last sent you is going to be my finals.

And I'll also think about the other books just in case I have to whip something up for them.

    Thanks.

    Yeah, Dark looks great.

Good news all around as far as New Era progress. Lots of movement today. X-Treme is practically ready and rearing to go, as is Strange Tales. Pulp is right there too, just waiting to clarify a few things. The Avengers Line has been changed up quite a bit, so there are still decisions there but we really have done well today team. Good job. Dark, Cosmic and Action are good to go. Thanks everyone, we are caught up for the most part now mandate wise and will finish up before next month's solicits.

Remember May solicits too. Many, if not most are already in but there are still some out there so finalize your May solicits editors, the last issues for some of our beloved titles as we make way for the New Era and the big finale for the Secret Conquest event as well.

Writers and artists now will fall under one line and editor. Previously Gillen was on X-Line as well as Fanfare-now-StrangeTales (Werewolf by Night) so in that situation, coin flip and Gillen went with WWBNATHC. Same for Brian Wood, except that coin flipped in your favor and Wood stays in X-Treme Line.

I want the editors to have control over their line's rosters and creative teams, cut out some of the overlap. I am cool with trading creators between lines though if you want to open talks for Gillen.

The creator assignments were PM'd and posted back on 4/11 here but I realize with so much going on that it wouldn't be difficult to miss some of info I threw at you editors.

So sorry gone about Gillen. Someone should make a print out of my av to put up on a dart board for these such occasions.
