"Secret Avengers #12.1 is a standalone tale that focuses on Steve Rogers"
So it's just like every "Secret Avengers", only standalone.
I had such high hopes for this title, too...
I don't understand what the "Secret" part of this group is. He reports to the government about what they do and the other Avengers all know it exist. He just teamed-up with them to retrieve the Infinity Gems.
Wanda Maximoff is a joke!
darknessatnoon: Was Xavier's dream to marry a vibrator and steal children from other families?
So the team is not secret, but their missions kinda sorta are.
I knew getting the variant of #1 was a good idea! I just knew this series wasn't going to last. Although I always assumed it was going to be because Steve would eventually have to lose his top-cop position thus rendering the book moot.
well, SECRET AVENGERS hasn't remained secret very long...
I'm surprised about Spencer' own excitement, I thought he got some of the same opportunities, in terms of artistic freedom, onto T.H.U.N.D.E.R AGENTS..
But I'm glad more and more writers are really starting to focus onto some secondary characters POV...

Leonard Cohen - The Future
...can't help feeling that Nazis and Old Devilish Entities are the Ground Zero of story-telling that said. Marvel isn't impressing me a lot these days. I'm expecting a lot from the up-coming ALPHA FLIGHT and MOONKNIGHT titles than from the usual top-sellers..

whiz kid Spencer is a fan of Gruenwald's Cap??
OK, Gru stayed long on the title but surely for a run occurring between the much better runs by DeMatteis and Waid, there's better stuff to be a fan of.
Spencer didn't disappoint so far, so I'm in anyway.
I got the impression thanks to the solicits that 12.1 would be the public outing. It wasn't. That annoyed.
Schmitty's Evil Twin.
