I really enjoyed the Vertigo Shade, but I was hoping to get the Ditko version that appeared in the Suicide Squad back.

I haven't the faintest idea as to what Flashpoint is supposed to be, nor do I have any interest, but I am eager to plunge into this madness spearheaded by Pete.

Is Vertigo going to release a new (fourth) Shade trade anytime in the near future? Anyone know?

    I'm here for Amethyst.

So stoked to see her return. I'm curious about her depiction though. I guess I'm cool as long as she isn't a crazy villianess again.

My guess is that they won't. It hasn't popped up in recent solicitations, although I remember reading somewhere that the first three didn't sell very well, so they aborted any future collections.

What an outrage. Maybe if they're worried about sales, they could pump up the marketing fanfare a bit instead of just dribbling them out onto the market with nary a word.

More SHADE in the DCU please...

Though it would be difficult to do better than THE AMERICAN SCREAM and others stories..

But that the trades didn't sell well is something I'm not ready to understand, plus the fourth volume should have been "Off the road", which is considered as one of the best story-arc of the run...

if nobody even notices how SHADE was/is an important comic-book, well the world isn't going very well..

..anyway, In Peter Milligan I Trust.

    Another DC hit.

Loves me some Shade as well as the return of Amethyst.

    Sold and sold again.

Perez and Milligan will be a great team.

Gotta say, I'm really looking to exploring more of the reconciliation of the original Shade and the Vertigo character.

This is now officially the most exciting "Flashpoint" tie-in for me!

And yes, it's outrageous that Vertigo isn't going to continue the Shade trades; however I have a feeling that will be the norm going forward for the properties that started in the DCU. With the exception of Sandman and Hellblazer trades.

So it's a team up between Constantine, Swamp Thing, Shade the Changing Man, and Amethyst; all written by Peter Milligan?

What is this strange welling inside my heart?

I think they'll keep Animal Man and Doom Patrol in print as part of the "Grant Morrison Library" as well. (Yes, I know they were pre-Vertigo, but they have been reprinted with the Vertigo logo.)

Where did you see the bit about Constantine? He said Swamp Thing WOULDN'T be in it.
