Argh, I wish it was a lettered preview. Matt Fraction's writing on this new volume is what I'm most concerned about. So far I've preordered the first 3 issues (I think), but don't want to preorder anymore if I don't have to.

Considering it is three double page spreads in a row, I think the writing is about the same.

There is no doubt in my mind that I will buy this and every Thor issue by Coipel.

Coipel is amazing, but Laura Martin is the finest colorist in comics. Her work on these pages is unbelievable. Very inspiring.

Sadly true. Looks it is going to be an illustration book... wonder if one could buy it unlettered, ought to make a better visualization since the only necessary reading is the reading of images...

Heh ... I would find that far more tempting.

Whoever drew the Storm variant needs to draw all Marvel characters from here on out. Amazing.

    Default Rant Time

ok first off the first damn saga fraction wrote for thor that just finished was NOT THAT BAD at all yes it had a few plot holes but the story is self was pretty cool and the world eaters kicked ass the only problem is that it was horribly slow moving snails look back and say really your that lazy lol
and ferry's art was odd but i feel it was perfect for that story and it was good art just odd at times
but honestly this story really seems like it will be better for the fallowing reasons COIPEL's art is very fast paced and i bet that will help with the story moving faster 2nd fractions writing on fear itself was great specialy for odin who will be in this book a good deal
and i feel this story with the silver surfer and glactus just feels like one that would be faster paced
(NOTE: this book, at least this first saga takes place BEFORE Fear itself)
on a personal note on coipels art while i admit hes a great artist ESCPECIALY ACTION SCENES i can not stand how he draws most male faces specialy thor who he give this dumb dopey look most of the time who agrees
that said sif and the rest of the preview art looks great

I agree. I thought I was the only one who noticed it.

Huh, I think Copiel makes Thor look like a real fighter, some one who's been slugged and stabbed and smashed and kept on coming and will do it again rather than dopey- many other folks make him and most of these highly combative characters look too much like models.

However, as subjective as writing is - art is 1,000 times more so - so I totally understand you might not see it the same way I do and vice versa.
