fail.
just rerun old episodes. what, are you going to outdo the classic? probably not.
Shhhh...be vewwy quiet....I hear the sound of Mel Blanc and all the tenants of the Termite Terrace spinning like rotisserie chickens in their graves.
Bugs Bunny and Donald Duck with "the same concerns and problems that adult men have"?.... PEEEEEUUUUUUU!
This concept makes me angry... very angry indeed.

Somewhere I hear old school My Little Pony fans still complaining about the success of it's revamp.
I'll judge this once I actually see a few full episodes. Until then, I'm on standby.

Not liking the new stylization. Gimme Chuck Jones any day...
really? the concept alone isn't enough to let you know that this is going to be complete shit if you like classic Looney Tunes?
here's a few bullet points:
"redesigning iconic characters for a modern audience"
um... but they're iconic...
"this is the best way for us to explore these characters"
what's to explore? they're already iconic.
"the sitcom format allowed viewers to become invested in Bugs and Daffy in a way they could not with the original Looney Tunes shorts."
um...
also, you don't take an iconic, antagonistic relationship and make them best friends. this is just idiotic.
The sitcom format doesn't sound good, but I did like the recent Looney Tunes clips put on the net.
Which have undergone several successful redesigns so far. Sorry, I'm not seeing your point at all.
Iconic doesn't seem to mean what you think it does. It has nothing to do with exploration. Besides, there is certainly modernity to explore."this is the best way for us to explore these characters"
what's to explore? they're already iconic.
Yeah, not wild about this. I prefer the short."the sitcom format allowed viewers to become invested in Bugs and Daffy in a way they could not with the original Looney Tunes shorts."
um...
Sounds like it could be golden.also, you don't take an iconic, antagonistic relationship and make them best friends. this is just idiotic.

Daffy Duck and Bugs Bunny were already friends in the old cartoons...
Ok, so maybe not so much on daffy's end, but Bugs was decently friendly enough at least half of the time. I saw an extended clip of the "Best Friends" Game Show episode, and it actually made me laugh at the end. I'm giving this a shot, since DC's kinda been on a roll lately. Young Justice and Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated (Which was another show that went through a huge redesign).
Not to mention, For those who are American, You can see the TV PG rating on there, so it's not 100% cutesy wootsey. Just look at Adventure Time. Honestly, half the time, that show can scare the ever loving shit out of me. Plus, then you have Regular Show, which pushes the limit. If it can be as funny as Regular Show, I'm all for it.
I have to admit that I am intrigued.
It’s like they decided they couldn’t top Animaniacs or John Kricfalusi’s stuff so they didn’t even try and they then deliberately dialed down the crazed anarchy of those shows.
This is the kind of thing Disney might do with Mickey and Donald to make them relevent.
I won’t say this is an epic fail, since it’s not like there was a clear path to revamp these characters.
In other words, this doesn’t sound as bad as Loonatics Unleashed.
Figures they would revamp something. People run out of ideas and what better idea to bring something back every twenty years and put them in more of todays situation. The point of looney tunes was to be silly. Not have girlfriends or heh "jobs?" I will watch it, but will probably make me mad/sad. I liked how they compared "Looney Tunes" to "Flintstones" This must be an easy job.
"We wanted to do something where the audience eventually cared about the characters, and it seemed like this sitcom format was the best way to do that. It was a way to have ongoing characters where you are learning something new about them over the course of the show," said Brandt. Emphasizing the half-hour comedy angle, the producers compared the show's format to classic 'toons like "The Flintstones."
You cant compare them, they are completely different!
No og concept at all, I think thats why there are afraid of using John Kricfalusi’s stuff/ideas. Because they were controversial just like back then, but back then no one really gave a poo.
I can't wait till Ross and Rachel break up...
