Default The first annual Steve Carrell's final the Office thread. SPOILERS

So there is a lot of speculation on the interweb about the final episodes of the Office this season. Next week is Steve Carrell's final episode of the office followed buy Will Ferrell's final episode the week after.

I read on Aintitcool.com that (Fans are speculating that the Ferrell character, Deangelo Vickers, will flee after he’s revealed to be the real Scranton Strangler.)

Now Toby was in the Jury of the Scranton Strangler Trial and he said he believes the guy to be innocent. So they caught the wrong guy and Ferrell's character will be the real SS. That would be awsome in my opinion. Will's character isn't that interesting on the show so I don't care if he leaves and him being the Strangler would be interesting.

Jim Carrey, James Spader, Ray Romano, Will Arnett, Catherine Tate and Ricky Gervais are all in the final episode of the season. What positions they fill are still under raps. Some say that Spader is the SS's lawyer. Some say that Arnett is the SS (could it be that he is the one they thought was the SS when it turns out that it was Ferrell all along?

As for the truth of who altimately takes over the job of Dunder Miflin Saber Boss we shall have to wait to find out.

Yep...its been renewed for an 8th season and the producer claimed that the show had a deep bench and keep going.

It would be amazing if Deangelo was revealed to be the Scranton Strangler. That story has been in the background for so long that I was disappointed with how he was caught.

I still think Dwight is going to be the new boss though, like Gareth was in the original UK series.

We've seen what Dwight would be like as the boss, and there's no way to make that work. Inside of a week, half the office would be fired or quit. And if you change Dwight enough so that that *wouldn't* happen, then he's no longer Dwight at all.

I liked his line at the end of the episode. "All right, this is gonna hurt like a mother fudger"

Can't I like the idea of all these big names in the Office. Something thats always attracted me to the show is the lack of big names. Will Ferrel has been pretty good as DeAngelo Vickers. But I liked better when the show first started and the biggest name we had guesting was Tim Meadows. I didnt even really mind when Jack Black, Jessica Alba, and Christian Slater were on the show because they were playing themselves.

I just hope that the Office doesnt keep this trend going. The lack of big names helped give the show a sense of reality for me. Too many big names would kill it for me.
