    Default Would you read?

A First Class style, (early years) Muir Island X-Men?

Moira is charged by Xavier to look after mutant affairs on the continent in a similar way his X-Men operate in the US. She leads the Muir Island team of:

    Banshee
    Forge
    Multiple Man
Legion, (until his merging powers become too overwhelming for him).
Sage, (this is a big retcon but at this point in time she was 06 what if Xavier before enlisting her in Shaw's service brought her to Moira to help establish the Islanders).

Old Thyme mutant hilarity and action ensue.
The FUX-Men: Jamie Madrox, Strong Guy, Layla Miller, Forge, Bishop, Quicksilver, Monet, Beast.

I'd be in. Banshee and Forge were an awesome duo, Jamie can get up to all sorts of hijinx, and Legion's cool when he's not overused. Not sold on Sage, though. What's the timeline for this, what about Havok and Polaris?

No, no new X-books until the current ones are solid and consistent. And preferably fewer in number.

I'm categorically uninterested in books that are non-616 canon.

Also, this book would be devoid of interesting characters - all the good development on these folks happened much later in their careers.

I need more information. Does this hypothetical book include the much-missed SUNDER?

I thought Wolfsbane would be a great fit, but like D@N said she would be too young in the timeline and her emergence with the New Mutants was too important to retcon. I would prefer the premise to be hypothetically shoehorned into actual 616 continuity between Xavier and Moira's first meeting and the departure of Banshee for the "All new all different" roster.

Sunder was someone I thought about actually but I wanted a feminine presence other then Moria, I realize Sage is a bit heavy handed as far as retcons go but I couldn't think of any other X-Women who fit the bill. Maybe a new unkown character?

Polaris and Jamie first met in the first issue of the new roster X-Factor, (although maybe that could be explained if the book ended with Polaris suffering some memory loss and a different Jamie... after all it is hard to pin down who exactly is who with Mr. Madrox).
