LOVE the way Gotham looks. :) Scott makes killer scripts with great descriptions.

I like it. I wasn't expecting someone on par with the 'Tec art team, but I'm pleasantly surprised.
Pull List: Action Comics, Green Lantern, GLC, GL: New Guardians, Justice League, The Flash, Batman Inc, Batman, Nightwing, Batman & Robin, Dial H, Animal Man, Frankenstien, Earth-2
Sweet! This is pretty dope.
Snyder is a lucky guy. You join DC and your first artists are Rafael Albuquerque, Jock, Francesco Francavilla, Trevor McCarthy and Gene Ha? That has to literally be the best artist lineup any new writer has ever had at one of the big two.
I think Trevor posts here every once in a while, and if you're seeing this McCarthy, KUDOS.
This looks AWESOME!

very much looking forward to this mini. art looks great.
SPACE FOR RENT!
So do you reckon that island's the Narrows from Batman Begins?
Mr. McCarthy has come a long way from his polarizing (to put it mildly) run on the Nightwing series 10 years ago. His work with Nightrunner was nothing short of fantastic and I can't wait to see what he can do with the larger Bat-cast.
Who wants to save the world? That's what misers do...
Looks great. He's really improved since his days on Nightwing. Which was some of the most off putting art ive seen.

Thanks guys - Kyle is a blast to work with - a real rising star - and Trevor's art is killer. I'm very excited they let me tag along for this one. And yes. El Sombrero, I'm the luckiest guy in comics w/regard to the artists I've gotten to work with. All I can try to do is pay back the privilege best I can on the scripts :)
Well here's an example, thats what we all get to look at:
PAGE 11
11.1
JOCK, I’d like this to be a page where you show off! The idea is that the first panel is an aerial view of Gotham, with BATMAN dropping towards the roofs. We are directly above BATMAN, as though we’re falling right behind him. The next panel, BATMAN (and WE) have dropped closer to the city, the next closer… And in each panel, you can pose BATMAN differently, highlighting DICK’S acrobatic style with the PARACAPE. In the final panel – and feel free to do 3, 5, 7, anything you want]. We should see a penthouse patio beneath him. Like he’s been dropping towards it the whole time. This is the patio/balcony of SONIA ZUCCO’S penthouse apartment. The place should be sleek, modern, with a rooftop pool, steaming in the cold, a table, a bar, tasteful, sharp … Something along these lines?
Of course, as always, if you have an idea for a better composition – go for it!![]()

While the name "The Narrows" didn't appear until Batman Begins in 2005, the idea that Arkham Asylum is on an island dates back to 1999, I believe, which was shown in the maps they published in various issue of No Man's Land. Here is a copy of a map of Gotham City from a Secret Files issue in 2000. Arkham is location #2.
