I think he means he doesnt seem like a typical superhero character, more indie-ish like the Vertigo characters. I agree.
It's funny that you guys say that, because an In Your Face Jam article just described Bachalo's early Generation X style (including the original created look for Chamber) as a Vertigo style and that early Generation X feels more indie to him now than mainstream, lol.

Also, thank for the tag suggestions, jawbreaker; look what I found:
Chamber wearing glasses?? This is too awesome not to repeat! Si Spurrier, I hope you're reading. ;P ...when did he wear glasses, by the way?
haha yes! that was an X-Men Unlimited issue(which I have). He was inexplicably dressed in like some kind of hipster nerd chic style.
^well this was pre-Sugar Kane...Maybe it was Jubilee's idea.
oh & thanks for the link to the awesome IYFJ article. Heres my post in the comments section:

Sorry for the double post, but I figured some people might miss this if I just edited into my last post.
I got to check out X-Men: Legacy #3 today and "Wolverine and the X-Men" get exactly two panels in it.
Still, the first one is a fun cameo for Jono. It's the same panel you saw before, but with Wolverine quietly grumbling the words:
"Throw it and die, Starsmore."
Lol. The second panel is the whole team bursting in on Legion rescuing the twins and the twins agreeing to go with him. Thinking that Legion is, well, batsh*t crazy & a killer, and probably not the best person to have around kids, Wolverine tells him to back off. Then it fades to black: To Be Continued!

^Beast is suddenly an ape again & Jono's wearing ski mask....
ha! I knew it. Though i do think its a bit OOC for Jono to be throwing snowballs at people...Still, the first one is a fun cameo for Jono. It's the same panel you saw before, but with Wolverine quietly grumbling the words:
"Throw it and die, Starsmore."
though there was that one bit in Gen X where theyre looking for Bigfoot in the woods & he spooks Angelo with a tree branch.
nice! Ive tried drawing with a mouse...not easy.A chamber mouse drawing I did. Forgive the preppie haircut.

Exactly; I think it's perfectly in character for Jono to joke around with those whom he's formed a camaraderie... And Logan would be on that list because of the Weapon X mission type stuff they've done. Jono's always had a sense of humor, even if it's not the obvious, full-blown class clown kind of humor of Iceman.
