Ah it's no big surprise we see street crooks talk about gaining super powers, reminds me of the MHG (Mutant Hormone Gene) street drug that Bendis had as a rather big theme/subplot on his Daredevil run and really why shouldn't Los Angeles be any different? With the blood and solicitation for #4 it does seem big we're going with the bloodthirsty vigilante on the edge of his sanity that makes us all think about the über grimdark Batman. I still hope the LA Kingpin is Daken because i'd love to see Bendis write more of him.

The preview looks fine... perhaps largely because it doesn't touch on any of the ridiculous 'multiple personalities including other avengers/heroes' aspect that Bendis has been pushing.... probably because Moon Knight is barely involved in those previewed pages.

I'd be totally ok with a gritty, Maleev drawn, Moon Knight series set out west. It's Bendis' characterization of Moon Knight that concerns me.

Alright! In before the "Bendis sucks" comments! EDIT: Guess not ...

While this didn't give us much MK, the dialogue is FANTASTIC and the art is grittilicious. Still dunno about the premise, but this preview makes me definitely want to give it a shot. Two talented creators doing what they do best.

Read too much like a Bendis' parody at first... and I like Bendis.
I'd just like everyone to know that not only am I dropping Marvel, I'm dropping this forum considering I'm not even allowed to voice a negative opinion because a thread "isn't about me".

I was psyched for this but now am not.
For some reason those first few pages turned me off.
    Go figure.

(I'll likely still buy Issue #1 though.)

Well, the dialogue is as annoying as I thought it'd be (my main problem with Bendis' work). Only plus I can give it is Moonie vs Hyde.

Reads more like a Frank Miller parody to me. Specifically, THE SPIRIT Frank Miller.

I was really on the fence about this series. I generally enjoyed Bendis/Maleev Daredevil, and most of Bendis's work, but a majority of the last 2 Moon Knight series have been mediocre at best. Based on this preview, I'm thinking I'll pass on this series. Maybe someday, if the reviews and fans talk highly of it, I'll pick up the issues on eBay when someone else dumps them.

God Bendis dialogue at its worst. Every character sounds the same.

(Ugh) I just read the extra exclusive preview pages over at marvel.com and that 'real world' dialogue just doesn't feel like it has any depth to me; it's just simply too casual. I will say what I've seen so far is that Bendis has given Moon Knight's story more room to breathe - much like the feel of a movie as opposed to the feel of the previous relaunches which had more of a skulking nature.

I just wish he could change his dialogue and the humorous angle of the personalities .

It's because they're out there without a net.

I love Moon Knight, but was on the fence about this. This preview helped make the decision: I'll pass. $4 is not a price I'm willing to pay ... and that dialogue is absolutely horrid.

I can't. I actually had to skip some of it myself. Too much dialogue not really saying much. Ugh, really Bendis?
