Did they not notice that there is another title on the stands called Butcher Baker?
as far as I can see the main character looks like he's called Billy Butcher.
so to me it looks like they're trying to leech of Butcher Baker, Righteous Makers success and in my opinion that is disgusting.
Or, y'know, maybe they're just juxtaposing the lines of an olde nursery rhyme alongside a miniseries about an extremely violent man (a very Ennis thing to do, IMHO).
O_o
and again I ask.... has "Billy Butcher" been mentioned with this longform title before? is there ANYTHING to explain the title choice? because it's release from Dynamite looks more than coincidental at the moment.
Personally I can't wait for this. The Boys is one of the best ongoing titles out there, and Ennis knows how to mold an origin story.
nope.... that didn't answer the question either.
Finally.
Also, I love how an Image book sells out and people assume it's a huge success when they only printed like 10k copies.
so why not use the wording of the nursery rhyme....?
"THE Butcher, THE baker, THE Candlestick-Maker"
why not make the size of the font uniform through the title? why is BUTCHER BAKER a larger size?
it doesn't look right.
but then again we are talking about the company that releases "Bring the Thunder" just before the Thor movie hits.
