Among Pixie Scholars there seems to be an emerging debate as to who "made" the character "great." Who gave her the scooter? Who gave her that extra bit of spice?
Nominees are
Kathryn Immonen - who gave Pixie quite the soft focus in Pixie Strikes Back.
Kyle/Yost - who ripped Pixie's soul apart and had her dump the New X-Men like trash all across the Eastern seaboard.
Scottie Young - who gave her a "look," that je ne sais quoi that made her stand out.
Whedon/Cassaday - Responsible for Charlie Brown looking Pixie but exposed her to the mass public in a best-selling comic.
Carey - (my personal preference) who made Pixie the international focus of Free Comic Book Day with the story of how she - alone out of all the New X-Men - was recruited into the Real X-Men. He also had her defeat the Marauders. Bonus consideration for turning her into the wisacre known as Nightmare.
Fraction - Gave her a real-life, realistic, trauma. Linked her to Oakland or something. Made her a Wolverine side-kick.
Gillen - Made her HATE Dazzler.
