Damn thats a great cover. I have high hopes that Vic's profile will be similarly raised once Flashpoint ends

I love the cover but am I the only one who feels this storyline of Cyborg being the ultimate American superhero is kinda forced?

Great cover. A symbol could push Vic towards the icon status.

How so? Especially considering its an alternate reality the circumstances behind it haven't even been revealed yet how can you say its forced.

Why do you feel it's being forced?

And in that version of reality, there were two dozen American colonies during the Revolution...

That is a fabulous cover. Almost awesome enough to make me reconsider NOT getting this.

Well honestly I've never thought of Cyborg as being a Superman like figure. Having him be that role even in an alternate reality seems very random. Wouldn't Captain Marvel make more sense as being the beacon of hope and all American Superman like figure in this reality now that Superman is no longer in that role.

This as well as many other things in Flashpoint just seem so random and tacked on like this is a fan fiction gone wild.

No because in no way does Captain Marvel suggest all American values.

Time change stories are usually like this.

    "kinda"?

There's a difference between building a story around a character, and the story logically progressing the character to a certain position. In this case it's the former. Geoff Johns wanted him to get some spotlight, so he promoted him to this alternate reality's Superman - or at least, imo - but somehow I have a hard time them going "well, the story clearly shows that Cyborg would be teh greatest!".

So yes, it's forced. And I hope it won't be another example of demeaning Superman to build up another character.
