If you respect this idiot's opinion...
…please never talk to me again.
I have never seen someone claim more of a market on the banal and trite than this clown. If you actually think he’s saying something here more than the obvious or the easily available, all that tells me is you understand positively jack shit about the sport or business and the intersection between the two.
Everything he says is hackneyed, but I guess if you package it in terms of food metaphors overweight pro wrestling fans find the material accessible. The reality is it’s all super low-hanging fruit. Nothing more. If that’s the level of insight you aspire to, you’re a sad person.
And frankly, because it lacks nuance it’s also somewhat incorrect. TUF is about the cast? Well, sort of. That’s obviously one component…among many, many others. Primetime was dull because of the professionalism of the fighters? Well, sort of. That’s one component…among many, many others.
Go back and read his amazingly moronic stuff after Jones won the title. What’s that, JR? Jones has to surround himself with the right people in order to be a success? And if he doesn’t surround himself with the right people, he won’t be? What an intellectual Gordion Knot this man just untied! How would we cope were it not for the powers of distillation this man possesses!
If you want to read his stuff for amusement or to pass the time or to get a good laugh, go ahead. But if you think he’s saying something that nearly ever other opinion leader in MMA isn’t, well, you just don’t read. Which is probably the reason J.R.’s intellectual baby food is right up your alley.
