Default CBR: WC11: Aaron Gets "Scalped"

Saturday at Wondercon, Jason Aaron discussed his Vertigo ongoing "Scalped," including which character is his mom's favorite, how long the series will last, a potential TV show and much more.

I was surprised to read that Aaron is an atheist. Completely unrelated to Scalped (which I am working my way through), his work on building Wolverine's faith had me believing otherwise. I guess that really shows his strength as an author, and not to get preachy, but I appreciate it that much more.

This article made me start rereading the series. The best ongoing comic series ever, without a shadow of a doubt.

Yes, but the article hinted at the chance of returning to the world with OGNs.

One of the better ones certainly.

I'd love to see this on TV. If anything has the potential to be the next "Wire," it's "Scalped."

Completely agreed. Let David Simon and Ed Burns adapt the thing, and Clark Johnson direct it. Instant winner.

I read the first TPB and it was decent, entertaining but not exceptional. I even sold it.

I didn't get into Sandman until the 3rd TPB, then I was hooked.

Maybe that's the case again and I need to pick it up a couple more.

The article itself talks about how a lot of people didn't fall in love with the series until the second trade, so yea, I'd give it a shot. If you're still not interested after that, then, well, just not for you I suppose.
