Default CBR: WC11: "Human Target" Panel

During last weekend's WonderCon panel, the stars of "Human Target" discussed Janet Montgomery's oiled-up scenes, Guerrero's kryptonite and how fans can help encourage Fox to renew the series for a third season.

Dang, was hoping the panel meant that it was renewed. Still, fingers crossed. Not like Fox has much better!

I have not liked this season as much as last, (Janet Montgomery is hot, but the addition of the two women castmembers, in particular Indira Varma, really hampered the early goings of S2), but it's still one of the more enjoyable shows Fox has. I was pleasantly shocked they renewed Fringe... now I hope they shock me again with Human Target!

Does the lack of any mention of her mean Poochie won't be in it anymore? Season 2 was an utter slog to get through with that character, and I'm pretty sure I won't return if she does, regardless of the theme music (or even Montgomery in oil and underwear.)

You'd think that writers at Fox, of all places, would know better than to name a character 'Pucci'.

You'd think. I've never once used the "proper" spelling, I don't think. The character was just so shoe-horned in and she and Valley had absolutely no chemistry together. I started fast-forwarding through their scenes by the end of season 2. Such a shame, since I really enjoyed season 1.

I did not like the second season as much as the first. Ames is cute and hot and her interaction with Guerro is great, but I cannot stand Mrs. Pucci. She is bitchy, bossy and annoying.

As much as all that's true, I think what annoyed me most about Poochie was the setup. She tells them she's going to be a hands-off boss and then she just keeps showing up.

And early on, when they're arguing all the time, I just was baffled. They didn't *need* her money, since they'd been able to operate quite fine without it, so if it was so onerous, why not just all quit and go back to working for yourselves. It was just such utter nonsense forcing her into the group.

If this show is not renewed i will get depressed and mourn the quality actors in it and the fun action tv show it is.

Yep. For a billionaire and the head of a world wide corporation she spends a lot of time with the crew.

if this show isn't renewed, i'll get depressed too. Pucci was annoying, if they keep that character, she needs to evolve to the point of where the other characters are. (does the show even need her AND Winston?) but if the show can go from being serious action-orientated the first season to lighter fun tone the second season and still remain entertaining, that's proof that the show & characters are more versatile than most of the other shows out there.

I thought it was already canceled. Learning that it's up in the air is actually a pleasant surprise.

I found last season to be very disappointing overall (although it did have its moments). I think they went too far in trying to lighten the tone and make the show more accessible, to the point of undermining much of what originally made the core characters interesting. If this is the direction they're going to continue with, I honestly wouldn't be all hat upset if they did cancel it.

I pretty much agree with everyone else on this thread. (Minus some one saying the show doesn't need Winston. He keeps the crew grounded in my opinion.)

I don't understand introducing a "Mom" character into the show. It seemed like every episode she had her hands on her hips talking about how they shouldn't do this or that etc. (I missed the first episode due to a dvr issue so I'm not sure why she funds the company outside of them saving her.) They shouldn't have made her a major factor in the show to simply try and broaden the audience of the show.

I do like Ames though, her criminal past makes her interesting and does give the show a good female character.
