The artwork alone is worth buying in my eyes. I am DEFINITELY getting this.
happy to see Alex is actually drawing this one.
I loved what he did on Spiderwoman, but it was so much digital tracing and filters, it was hard to find any real craft in it. His colors alone on that series were why I bought it.
Convince me the action will be fluid and not stiff. CONVINCE ME!!!!!!!!!!
I'm not too sure about this alledged 'new direction.' To me it was interesting to have a hero with 3 civilian alter-egos (Spectre, Grant, Lockley) that were a part of his methodology not a psychosis. The multiple ID's were reminiscent of the pulp-hero 'the Shadow.' I realize I am likely in the minority here; but I really don't enjoy 'mentally-broken' Moon Knight. I don't intend to offend--but I'll be giving this a wide, wide berth of avoidance. Thanks.

"The LESS some people know the MORE stubbornly they know it!"
"That which does not KILL us only serves to make us STRONGER!"
Looks great..
..but who did the MK/Wolverine cover?? Moon Knight looks like he's carrying about 350 pounds of muscle.
Not sure about the new direction. I tend to think we already HAVE enough Captain America/Wolverine/Spidey, so I'm not really sure why MK needs to emulate them even more...still, good to see MK getting the love..
KIMOTAZAM!!
(like 'Zing!', only bigger and louder)
You're not alone. The original series left Moon Knight's sanity a mystery. Did he really believe Khonshu raised him or not? Did he see things or not? Did he use his multiple identities to fight crime or did he suffer from an actual disorder? Moench upped the ante, notably here...
and here...
Moon Knight was never the psychopath shown in the 2006 series. And he's never had a strong connection with any of these new personalities. But hey, at least they got the costume right.
I'm passing on this iteration (the first time I've ever skipped a Moon Knight volume) because I don't care for Bendis' writing, Maleev's art is too stiff and lacking in sequential flow, and Capt. Spiderine is too much of a marketing joke.
BOOSTER GOLD (Michael Jon Carter), HAWKEYE (Clint Barton), IRON FIST (Daniel Rand), MOON KNIGHT (Marc Spector aka Steven Grant aka Jake Lockley), NIGHTCRAWLER (Kurt Wagner),
NOVA (Richard Rider)
I liked that Moon Knight more as well.
Throw in whether or not his powers were derived from Khonshu or a bite from Werewolf By Night and it just adds to the complexity.
I'm not sure on this title but I'll try it out. This copycat personality thing is just a gimmick clearly. Logically, if MK were to absorb traits from heroes he associates regularly with he would have guys like Punisher and Daredevil as well as some he associates closely with on Secret Avengers (Ant-Man maybe)
Also, I'm not sure why everyone is so upped about Maleev's art. The preview pages, aside from the splash page of MK, look boring to me.
The amount of action that takes place in a Bendis comic is equivalent to the amount of action in the film Unbreakable. Every time he chooses a painterly artist, it makes that ratio even worse. Matt Fraction suffers from the same problem.
Pull List
Avengers - New Avengers
Uncanny X-Men - All-New X-Men
Fantastic Four - Uncanny Avengers
Indestructible Hulk - Guardians of the Galaxy
Superior Spider-Man - Nova
Wow. I'm glad I'm passing on this - that artwork is fuuugly. Of course, I wasn't going to buy it anyways. "Captain Spiderine" (good call) as somebody called him is as very offensive to fans of the preestablished character. If this is Marvel's way of showing that they care about the character well they've failed creatively speaking. It's the number of copies they sell that will matter most to them. I so hope this little experiment fails. Yes, that'll probably leave me without a Moon Knight comic for a long time, but I rather suffer that than this run successfully going to canon and all the newbies will go running around exclaiming how great this iteration of the character is.

New Avengers, Morbius The Living Vampire, Scarlet Spider, Iron Man, Fearless Defenders, Fantastic Four, Deadpool Killogy, Savage Wolverine, Wolverine, Uncanny X-Men & X-Force, Cable & X-Force, Gambit
I'm guessing that conversation with Cap, Logan and Spider is all happening in his head?
Marc Spector is bigger than Captain America and smaller than Wolverine.
So, I presume Cap is a lot smaller than Wolverine!![]()
Top 10: Hawkguy, GIJoe Cobra, The Massive, Daredevil, Wonder Woman, Fury MAX, The Black Beetle, Batman, Winter Soldier, Suicide Squad, and The Activity.
I've never been able to get into Moon Knight until Huston and Finch's masterful revamp, so I'm glad to see Bendis pick up on the characters tormented mental state. :)
The issue isn't even out yet, and not a single piece of dialogue has been revealed... Don't you think it's a bit premature to damn this series out, before it's even started?
Just because of that, I want this to succeed even more, just to spite the most ignorant and unimaginative of the MK fans.
