Does Wonder Woman need be "Sexy" or have "Sex appeal"

what appeals to me about diana is her strengths as a woman. so sex appeal yes can be good, but i think it comes naturally to a gifted woman like diana and everyone is sexy in their own way. the problem is when people at dc artifically sex her up to make her something other than who she really is.

I would definitely lean towards sexy. Of course the studios have big issues as to how they should portray female superheroes who wear small costumes.

They need a G or PG rating to reach the widest audience, plain and simple. To do that they would choose a less risque costume. Which would then anger the legion of fans.

Cartoons and comics can do the sexy costumes because they seem less provocative. We all know that Wonder Woman was created as sexy as possible for a male audience. Same with almost every other female hero and villain in comics.

It's funny that studio's now have a conundrum on their hands with potential billion dollar franchises.

I'm unsure of which hero male or female that doesn't have sex appeal. Just because the guys have on outfits so tight that you can see their full muscular definition through whatever clothing they have doesn't mean it's "less" sexually appealing - just in a different manner. A manner which is just as unrealistic as a woman's outfit - apparently breathing in these spandex outfits is optional.

That's why arguing about realism in these books is just a waste of time.

She should absolutely be sexy. Because that's a more pure Wonder Woman, as Marston intended her.

I think it could be done, and it would be marvelous. I would pick up the book for sure, full-time if that happened.
