Blake Lively revealed she landed her "Green Lantern" role in part because the darker edge she displayed in "The Town" may be key for stories to come, as she hinted at an appearance by Star Sapphire in potential sequels.

It's too bad we don't see more footage of her in the latest trailer but I'm sure it will come at some point. Hopefully she'll do a good job with the role, I don't want to judge her too much from the first trailer.

But if this movie does do well and Star Saphire does show up in the next movie I wonder what her costume will look like? I wouldn't put it past them if they didn't copy the original, it bit too revealing. But then Hal's suit almost looks painted on.

Maybe they should do something similar to what was done with Mystique?

Now that I look at this pic, Hal Jordan's costume hasn't changed all that much, aside from the green and black design.

But it would have been neat if they kept an element of the original Sapphire costume in the current one. I like the white around the abs with a more visible sapphire symbol in the middle. Shrinking the symbol and putting it closer to her crotch is just to.....suggestive (imho).

I think it's precisely because of the current costume that they wanted Blake Lively.

I always liked her animated outfit. Not a fan of the current duds.
