Default Looking for Artist - PAID

Looking for an artist for a 10-12 page short story to be included in an e-book anthology about Canadian heroes. My story has been accepted for inclusion but I need a capable sequential artist, who is Canadian or has lived in Canada. Pay is a percentage of sales but I should be able to muster some compensation upon completion of the work if a back end deal doesn’t work for you. The story is a traditional superhero tale paying tribute to the Golden Age of Canadian Whites.
Please send only links to sequential art samples to: horizonlinecreations@gmail.com

This Spring Typecast Publishing took its initial steps into the realm of comics with its online journal Sawmill. Our first edition presented comic works by Ken Henson, Maureen Fellinger and Megan Stanton. After publishing the stories of these great artists we hope to find more talented comic creators to present to the online world in our second issue. To succeed with this goal we need submissions!
Any may submit, from the veteran illustrator to the budding student. We’re looking for inventive stories with interesting art, we enjoy works that explore and challenge the conceptions of comics. Although, the tried and true adventure stories with heroes and bad guys are also welcome. So send us your weird, your surreal, your super powered, or your classics. We just want your best so we can continue our celebration of this fantastic form.

    To Submit:

Email a fully finished short-comic no longer than 20 pages in .jpeg or .pdf format at a resolution of 180dpi. Submissions for our second issue must be sent in by July 10th 2012 for consideration, otherwise submissions are open yearlong. All questions and submissions can be emailed to jake@typecastpublishing.com

For more information about Typecast Publishing and the first issue of Sawmill check our website:

no. i really need a secondary project to take my mind off of this school project. as Hurricane is a true story, almost something of a biopic in comic form, there is a somewhat low amount of action. so i'm looking for someone to write a comic where we can have lots of over the top action sequences. i want to draw dinosaurs or monsters or lasers or huge guns or something.

i really only have one requirement for this project. i don't want to do any fan work. i'm looking for something that the two of us would be able to self publish.

attached is an uncolored Adam Strange page i did recently to get my mind off of school.

Hi I'm an aspiring comic book writer looking for a co-writer (perferably one who is also an artist) who wants to work on a submission with me. Most of the story is set up the only thing I need help with is the scripting (Mostly because I never scripted a comic book before). Now I also need an artist but I can't pay anyone because of my financial situation, so I can understand if no one is interested. BTW the submission will be sent to Image. If you are interested, email me at bktstar@gmail.com.

Hello, my name is Matthew Ryan and I am an Illustrator. Having graduated in 2009 with a BA Hons in Illustration from the University for the Creative Arts in Maidstone, I was keen to develop a career as an Illustrator. My intention was to specifically focus on the area of comic books and concept design, however I feel I should not just limit myself to these two areas and instead have looked at all types of visual narrative work.

My strengths lie in my idea generation, allowing me to come up with a variety of designs in order to explore the client's brief thoroughly. I would like to think that this includes exciting and creative solutions that stand out thanks to my unique style of illustrating. My most recent commission a has been for several Role Playing adventure books titled "Alien Earth", which has included designing original characters and objects alongside illustrating them. These have included tribes, armour, weapons, vehicles, animals, monsters and robots to name a few; which are all fantasy and science-fiction based.

I have created dozens of variations for each in order to produce the best design and illustrations possible; and whilst several of the descriptions have been quite challenging I have managed to work my way through them so that the client was extremely happy. Previous commissioned work has included five comic pages and one cover for internet comic book company Rocket Galaxy Comics.

You can email me at mattr.illustration@hotmail.co.uk for any job opportunities or if you have any further questions to ask me. My website can be found at http://mattr.org.uk/
I hope to hear from you soon.

NO FRILLS FILMS LOOKING FOR COMIC BOOK ARTIST TO COLLABORATE WITH.

Hello, my name is Shaun and I am looking for a comic book artist to collaborate with. I am soon to be working on a filmed project for a reputable film companies competition and our theme is noirish, cyberpunk, gut wrenching, shit kicking, all singing all dancing, good old fashioned vengeance.

I am putting a call out for interested parties to get in contact where I can better explain the project, however, if we win, the nominated artist will be re-imbursed with a fee of £1,000.

There are all in all, about 20 frames that need working on. The artist will have 20 frames of film, which they will have to convert to comic format, (including dialogue). This is akin to the likes of Stephen Kinds creepshow and in a sense, could be likened to Sin City.

The artist will have creative input on the project, and they will be rewarded for their efforts, as long as we win. Unfortunately, I cannot pay the artist up front, as we are ALL doing this out of our own pockets and there is no pre-financing of the project, only what we use for props and costume.

The concept is good and the story is great, and with the right artist we can tap into a niche market and produce a product that will truly challenge for a place in the final.

If we do not win, our product will of course be a great piece for anyone's portfolio.

Please, if you feel this is for you or would like more information on the project, please contact me at Shaun.Woods@Gmail.Com, where we will discuss the what, where, when, why and who.

Lightbulb Looking for fellow Writers & Artists in South Wales

This is probably a long shot, but I'm looking for other comic creators who are residing in the South Wales area. This pursuit is lonely at the best of times & it would be good to converse with like minded folk who have an interest in all aspects of creating in the comic book medium. Whether it's collaborations, critiques or just a like minded soul to throw ideas around with, if you're Welsh and you make comics, then hit me up!

Default Writers and Artist needed for sci-fi/horror/fantasy comic

    Hi guys!!
I am attending the Derby City Comic Con in June to debut my comic. Along with my comic I am also publishing a companion piece that I am having other artist and writers contribute some work that they would like to have published. The book is sci-fi/horror/fantasy themed. The companion book is set in a bar and stories can take place in the bar or told in the bar and set in a flashback setting, they can be serious or funny, my characters or yours. The main focus of the companion piece is to promote other artist and writers. There is no payment for this book unless it turns a profit then it is split between the writers/artist, you will also get credit for any work you do and I will mail the finished comic to those involved. There are 12 issues to my comic and I plan on having a companion book with each issue, so future work is also needed. So you may continue any story you set up. The book will be color and the size is determined on the number of stories we have to included.
Send me an email at zombiekittens@yahoo.com if you have any interest.
    Thanks,
    M
