Still not impressed. Marvel is hitting the ball out of the park with nearly every movie they make now, and DC is just floundering. It's like DC is where Marvel was 25-30 years ago as far as the movie making is concerned. Unless the tone of GL appears to be different in the next trailer than it was in the first one, I may just pass until it come out on home video.

Looks better, but I still wish the gloves were white hot with power to create more of a color contrast. Green blending into black does the exact opposite that the costume texturing is supposed to accomplish.

I agree DC is very very slow in getting their movies out. But Marvel is not hitting the ball out of the park with every movie. Far from it actually. Frankly, the only Marvel film I've thought was very good in recent years is the first Iron Man. The rest range from good but forgettable, to passable to, well, X-Men Origins: Wolverine. I do like that they are trying something different with Captain America, and X-Men: First Class though, with both being set in a specific historical time period. Same with Green Lantern and it's supposed space-opera leanings.

Anyway, despite the first trailer, all the buzz I've been hearing about Green Lantern from all the recent conventions has been very good. CGI is apparently much more polished and the costume supposedly looks fantastic (although rumours of a dodgy mask persist). Still, I'll reserve judgment until I see the 2nd trailer.

Your name is Kal-El. You are the only survivor of the planet Krypton. Even though you've been raised as a human being, you are not one of them

30 years ago, Donner's Superman film paved the way for all superhero movies, so this comment makes no sense.

I really like this poster. Can't wait to see this (on my birthday nonetheless).

looks crap-tastic. Green Lantern is one of my favorite concepts in all of comics. And this looks just...I dunno the word...odd, computerized, so unrealistic that it completely takes the view out of any realm of connection.

The more I see of Thor and Captain America, the more I want to see those movies..the more I see of this...the less I want to see it.

I'm not crazy about the one sheet, but then again not too crazy about the Thor poster either. But I don't think D.C. is as bad as Marvel 25-30 yrs ago, . . . . Wow, Not nearly. And Marvel has had plenty of barley there & forgetable films in the last few yrs. As D.C. has been enjoying the Oscar-winning Batman films. So it's sounds like quanity over quality almost here. Even though I think Renoylds is wrong for the part, I'm still hoping that I'm pleasantly suprised by this movie.

Who would have thought that a little green CGI mask would cause so much trouble for the effects team. Maybe they should have given him a real green mask. It would have saved them time and money.

People will complain if the suit and mask is CGI, or if it is real people will complain since it is made out of energy to begin with.

I don't think there is anything wrong with the poster.

He had the years off, i think he was talking about...

Pretty sure DC isn't going to let anything that bad out though.
Edit: And imo, DC's animated output, while uneven, has been much better then marvel for years

The mask looks too awkward on screen. They should have gone the JLU way and just used green eyes.

The last thing this outfit needs is more green.

Also keep in mind that I am separating the movies Marvel has direct control over from the ones that they optioned out to other studios.

Everything that Marvel Studios has had control over so far has been spot on.
