He has never seen an episode of Angel. And not a single question about the supporting cast Angel already has seriously what happens to Gunn, Connor, Illyria. What happens to his team?

When he met Joss at Comic-Con he hadn't yet seen an episode of Angel and not much Buddy. He has seen the shows since and apparently loves 'em.
