Love the idea of the retro-active one-shots.
Top 3: Batman, Wonder Woman, X-force
I love the retro-active idea also. Just hope they also bring back artists that worked on the book at the time also ie Daryl Banks back for the 90's Green Lantern.
Retro-active sounds awesome.
"they decided to retire the DCU "Brave & The Bold" book to not create confusion with the kids cartoon property."
So is it coming back when the show is over?
Pull List: Action Comics, Green Lantern, GLC, GL: New Guardians, Justice League, The Flash, Batman Inc, Batman, Nightwing, Batman & Robin, Dial H, Animal Man, Frankenstien, Earth-2
I'm looking forward to the Retro-Active one shots, but I wish the JLA lineup had been:
70s - Conway
80s - Giffen and Dematties
90s - Morrison
Ron Marz in that retro is interesting but other then that DC has once again pushed me away from caring about what they're putting out
I hope Greg LaRoque is pencilling Messner-Loebs' Flash story, and Jose Marzan is on inks :D
"You're NOT getting a signal watch!" -- Bob Rozakis
I just hope that hint about the future of Dick Grayson isn't just a tease!! But I'm loving the Retro-Active one shots as well, especially the William Messner-Loebs inclusion!
Not all who wander are lost....
So they're throwing out all of Gail Simone's character development of Bane because a movie is coming out? That's sad.
And how many questions do they need to field about Wally West before they understand he's the Flash and not this Boring Allen fellow?
I'm hoping they bring Norm Breyfogle back to work with Alan Grant on the Batman Retro-Active book. It's a neat idea I think.
Retro-Active oneshots? Christ, I try not to be one of the guys who say that DC keeps living in the past but seriously?
i think there is a difference between turning your line into a nostalgia catering thing and creating specific projects that cater to that group of the fanbase.
I don't think there is anything wrong with something like this, or giving Claremont his vanity projects. The problem comes when all the material you put out is directed towards that narrow fanbase, is working backwards rather than forwards.
