Default CBR: Glass Supernatural-izes the DCU in "JLA 80-Page Giant"

"Supernatural" writer/producer Adam Glass spoke with CBR about writing the framing story for this spring's "JLA 80-Page Giant," his longtime love of the DCU, taking on the Legion of Doom in "Flashpoint" and more.

I don't watch Supernatural, and I haven't read any of his Marvel work, but I've got high hopes still. Just nice to see DC bringing in new writers of any sort, rather than giving something else to Geoff Johns.

Can't lie, I'd rather it be Nick Spencer or something, but I'll take it!

Gotta love those covers by Artgerm. Can't wait to see him do interiors one day.

The writer claims "In 1964, DC Comics released its first 80-Page Giant."

What about the twenty-two 80-page giants that DC began releasing in 1960? 80-Page Giant #1, which came out in 1964, was DC's 23rd 80-pager.

And the format was exactly the same -- in fact, ads during that time previewed 80-Page Giant #1 with a different title: Superman Annual #9.

Maybe they meant to say in 1964, the first "all original" 80 Page was released.

Cause the first 22 were no doubt all reprints.

    Default Go Glass!

Glass sounds like he knows what he's talking about. His Super Natural episodes have been consistently the best of the flock and now hearing his interview I like him even more. He did some solid work over at Marvel and I personally wish him the best!! Love that DC is bring in some new blood.

Seconded. I'd love to see Ragman in the DCU on a regular basis again. I wasnt too much of a fan of Shadowpact since it made him a bit too "costumed adventurer" for my tastes but if he were written like the original 90's Ragman mini, it would be right on the money.
Anyhoo, as you said - Ragman=SOLD.

You seriously think All Dogs go to Heaven, Like a Virgin and Two and a half Men are the best of SPN (heck even this season)! Yikes.
