    Thanx for the tip.

    20 bucks / 12 quid is what I figured.

I could, but I don't mind the sig I currently have and I may have to change the wording somewhat, as the signature comes after whatever assholish post I may make.

I'll do it if you write a handsome, would-be doctor named Dean into a future issue of Amazing Spider-Man.

(This is the point where I would reveal that I bought the non-white edition of #648, but I don't want to break character)

Is that confirmation that I'm going to be a Spider-Man character?

You know what would be cool as hell, if there was a competition here and the winner got to have a cameo appearance in a future issue of ASM. The comp winner could briefly interact with Spidey perhaps somehow lend a hand when he was stopping a mugging and Spidey could ask his name then swing off.

Obviously the winner would post a couple of photos so the artist could capture their likeness.

I am almost positive that happened in the late 70's/early 80's in ASM; I cannot recall the exact issue or the way the promo was conducted but I am pretty sure two young boys were pencilled into a one or two panel scene.

    Can anyone else recall this?

Yea I wondered if they had ever done it before (no clue what issue), I know they often draw in members of the editorial. I think they should run the comp again!

At the comic shop today i picked up Blank Variants of Avengers #7, & X-men #1. Any suggestions on what I should get drawn on them?

I know Paul Pellitier will be at a local comic shop here in Tampa for Free Comic Book Day, may get him to sketch something on the Avengers cover.

Here are the covers I got sketched at Kapow (London) this weekend.

John McCrea (Tangled Web/The Boys) Olivier Coipel (THOR)

James Hodgkins (Tangled Web) 'Spidey eating a Pizza' (Also signed by Steve Wacker)
Gary Erskine (Knights of Pendragon/Wolverine and The Punisher) 'Wolverine'

They were all free except John McCrea who did the head shot for a tenner.

Unfortunately I missed getting a Steve Dillon sketched cover because I had to get my train and his queue line was barely moving. Other favs I missed out on sketching my covers inc- Leinil Yu who was barely doing anyone's, JRJR- same again, because his queues were so long (I already got a Hobgoblin sketched cover off him last year tho), Adi Granov cause he only does 10 a day which you need to book early and Sean Phillips cause he was saying no, heh. I was happy to get another four tho.

That's awesome. The McCrea one looks like it was worth the ten quid.

Those are great covers!!! I'm jealous. I just mailed a blank cover to Chris Bachalo can't wait to see what he comes up with.

Those are all great!! Yeah, I like the McCrea one best but the Hodgkins one is also cool (if it wasn't for that stupid SW signature).

I met Bachalo a couple years back at the Fan Expo here and got him to sign some stuff for me and stuff for my pal Victor (who lives in Brazil. Like that's an excuse for not coming to the Expo!). He was super nice. I'm sure he'll draw something awesome.
