That sounds freakin' RAD. Couldn't someone pick this up again?
But... that sounds so incredibly awesome...
DAMMIT DC, YOU FUND AMAZONS ATTACK AND COUNTDOWN BUT NOT THIS?
Why the hell didn't DC green light Dave Stevens' proposal: Superman/Rockeeter series?!? That would have make it one of the greatest cross-over in the 4-color pages, ever!
This is the only one I haven't and will never forgive DC for their biggest blunder.
Damn!
very interesting, I hope someone will notice. The art samples are great but right now I can't help thinking about Kevin Nowlan...

Sounds way too much like Speeding Bullets...
Weidly I had almost exactly that Supes/Bats story, with the same set up and even the same title! Even had a pitch worked out. Slightly different outcomes of the characters but the same set up. Genuinely, genuinely weird.
This sounds cool and all but to me the project that never happened that I most wish did was Azzarello/Pope on Kamandi.
Hobos frighten me. It's time my enemies shared my dread.

I thought the exact same thing.
Especially at the part where he says "Lex Luthor, a former corporate rival of Bruce Wayne, but now driven mad by radiation poisoning and taking on the persona of the Joker."
Lex Luthor becomes the Joker in Speeding Bullets and faces of against a darker Clark Kent who was raised by the Waynes and watched them get gunned down. Clark in that story was named Bruce Wayne and dressed like Batman though. The Clark in Speeding Bullets is like an amalgam of the Batman and Superman in this pitch.
I wonder if this pitch was before that story came out.
But the rule in Elseworlds is...Batman always becomes the same Batman.
The ending would be this Superman would agree with Batman's methods.

Yes, this sounds great.
Someone should move forward with it.
Those other projects, like Superman / Rocketeer and Pope Kamandi, also sound incredibly sweet !
Not the biggest Dusty Abell fan, but this looks good, esp with 2 of my fav Golden Age characters.
Speaking of Elseworlds, DC used to be hot and heavy with the altreality prestige books, but now they're almost completely gone. What was the last EW book? RedSon? Byrne's Generations?
Ironically, now that they've brought back the multiverse, they've stopped telling stories IN that multiverse.
