OOC: They didn't. I originally used that picture for Keno, the guy in charge of guarding the twins.
I never actually showed you guys a picture of Daili, nor did I ever describe what he looks like. This was deliberate, to emphasize his role as the kind of faceless guy who sticks to the background but then turns out to be important. Even I don't have a good mental image of him.
"They are to serve under me as my support," Viir said, "so you will be enjoying our company at least until we reach Tanisa. After that, I guess it depends on wether our paths will differ from yours or not. You are not officially a part of my mission, after all, but we do search for the same things."BTC:
Laughter bubbled out of Dryden, and he slapped his knee as if to emphasise his amusement, "will the group here be following once we depart, or will their mission take them elsewhere?"
"This doesn't look easy. But I bet it is!"

I grinned.
"We've been sent to a diferent place and time. We have magical weapons and powers. Some monsters have tried to kill us and some people have died in the process. Tell me this isn't your average working week?"
Now I wasn't completly sure, but from her reply it was possible she thought this was all another simulation. Maybe it wouldn't be so crazy after all. Maybe it would even make sense.
"Or maybe the Matrix still has you huh Trinity?"
Yeah. I'll admit it. I've seen movies. Just don't tell anyone. It'd ruin my reputation.
OOC. Probably because you missed a few upgrade posts IRL (+2 Physical, +4 Esper Points).
IC.
"Well you've still got me beat. I don't think mine even exist".
It was true. It's not like there was anything physical or tangible to prove anything about my so called ability. Just. Just sometimes. No. No. It's not real. It isn't. Don't even think about it. Don't. Look at her. Don't think about it. Talk to her. She's cute. Keep talking to her.
"Maybe you just need some practise? I know Brett keeps going on about making more of those arm constructs. Galena is leaning new abilities every week. And Tabitha's getting even better at keeping people away from her".
Hell. Where did that come from? Change the subject fast Marlowe. Ask the girl some questions or something.
"Anyway I'd guess your ability will just increase with time. It's to do with altering things isn't it? Must be fun. How long have you had it for? In fact why don't you just tell me a little bit about yourself and we can maybe get to know each other a little better huh? I think that'd be nice"
Paying attention. Asking her to talk about herself. Saying things are nice.
If this doesn't work I really will ask for my money back.

"Edge Alignment? Hmmm, come on, I could swear I learned this at the intitute....." She looked at her sword then closed her eyes and listened as she swung it again. She could here a whoosh. "Mmmm" Brett looked at the sword again and fixed how she was holding it. She swung again. She could hear a high pitched whistling sound, like taut string held in the wind. "Oh yeah, that's more like it." Brett started again, her swings more focused now. "Thanks Mister!"

"Huh?" Alkhemi asked. She wasn't a movie person.
OOC: I thought we started from some fantasy Earth like Pokemon or One Piece, where they don't even have movies.
OOC: Oh, OK.
IC: "I'll talk to one of them, then," said Alkhemi. "Which one do you recommend?"
"I can mold stuff into new shapes by moving the molecules around," Alkhemi explained. "However, I can't actually alter the atomic composition; for example, I can't turn lead into gold, the fact that my name sounds like 'alchemy' notwithstanding." She smiled at this bit of self-deprecation.

Dryden shrugged, "I only knew that as our mission. For that I understand the use of the pilgrims, but what else are you bringing to bear? I hardly imagine overseeing a single squad of them to be an optimal use of your time. You're too well known and too valuable to operate as an incognito agent. Will a battalion be awaiting you in Tanisa?"

Walking back to the deck, Tabitha started practicing again. Eyes forward, watch the enemy carefully, don't let it land a clean strike.... Her fists and feet would take care of the rest.
And if I can beat them with that, then I will certainly triumph if I used my power.
Joseph stopped put away the chunk of flint, finished with his work for now.
He took out his whip and began to practice with it.
Because of the danger associated with lashing out with an orikan whip, he could only really aim in one direction, sending the end of the whip to crack out above the river with each lash.
Demian got off of his barrel and began walking towards Tabitha.
"Well you know Tabitha, all of this punching into the air thing is a real buzz kill. It harshens my mellow ya know."
Keeping a respectable distance from Tabitha, Demian yawns and sits down again.
"All work and no play makes jack a dull boy and all that"
