Really enjoyed the interview. Can't wait for it to start now. The more Iron Man the better! He's going all the way back to Tales of Suspense. That's awesome to go back that far in Tony's roots. It's going to be cool to see all the characters in there old gear and I think it will definitely be interesting to see the feelings Luke has towards Tony about Civil War get hashed out a bit. Bring on the Iron Age!

"That's not just "one man"! That's TONY FREAKING STARK. You're intel should've warned us that he was James Bond and "Q" wrapped in the same guy!" Cobra
This makes it to my pull list even more strongly. Yeah, it'll be bittersweet for me too.Who are some of the heroes that Tony encounters as he travels through past eras of the Marvel U?
…And we've got Johnny Storm as well, which is interesting considering what just happened to the character.
When we started working on this, Johnny was just going to be one of the team members. Then editor Tom Brennan rang me up one night and said, 'Oh, by the way, Johnny Storm is going to die.' [Laughs] Of course since our story is about going back into the past, Johnny's death doesn't upset anything. So 'The Iron Age' will allow readers a chance to see Johnny Storm again.
What's it like for Tony Stark to come face to face with Johnny after his death in "Fantastic Four" #587?
I'm not actually writing that individual issue. One of our other writers is. Johnny is in our final issue, though, "Iron Age: Omega." So I wrote him there, and it's a bittersweet moment. There is a moment where Tony looks at him and sees Johnny Storm, all carefree and laughing, and Tony knows he's not around anymore. That actually added a fair amount of nostalgia and weight to the storyline. It was meant to be there anyway, but it made the story a bit stronger for it, which is really nice actually.
Johnny Storm was dead; who is this resurrected Johnny Storm?
"Here, hold my Annihilus…" Johnny Storm, Fantastic Four #601
*phew* I was hoping we'd get more Cage and Iron Fist, because they're not overused at all in the MU these days.
I was actually worried I might have to get an Iron Man story here if they used enough supporting characters I liked, but I don't think they got a single one I really cared about. One wonders why Tony wouldn't just go collect the classic Avengers, or something, as they'd be people who he knows and knows how to work with very well. Or at least ONE classic Avenger...
I dont get it why Iron Man needs the help of z-list characters. He can easily destroy Phoenix!
I liked this concept when Busiek and Pacheco did Avengers Forever. I guess marvel decided that enough time has gone by to recycle the concept.
What did this Williams guy do? Why is he getting so many major projects?
"It doesn’t matter [if] you’re...Asian..., you can make it here in America if you’re willing to try." - Obama
Now this an Iron Man story that catches my interest. A time travel story that involves a Tales of suspense Iron Man villain to blow up the world! Dang I need to go back to see who this obscure villain is.
This actualyl sounds cool.
Diamond seem to have the Alpha issue down as $2.99 and the regular issues at $4.99. Im sure that must be a mistake though.
Still at $4.99 it had better be 40 pages of new content.
If they're going to do DP again why not explore it more? What does she want when she's flying around the cosmos, what does she exist for? Do you destroy just because you can? What decides right or wrong? I remember her saying there is something beyond good and evil, the power to create and destroy. But I don't think this mini will go that deep just use her to destroy.

Actually I found out who it is, it was a corporate saboteur named the Phantom, who was a Stark employee named Birch. From the interview he said that it was a Stark employee who had a grudge against him and after reading the story I know for sure It is Birch aka the Phantom.
Sounds very interesting. It's cool to see some of the heroes that have issues with Tony appear in this. I think they should have thrown in a villain on the team as well. Going to give this a try.
