Just in time for the tale end of our discussion it seems! -- this was posted at the IDW boards:

    Comixology's Godzilla Sale:

I went ahead and got a couple of things when Godzilla first went digital, and I've posted my thoughts below. I know it sounds like an IDW propaganda piece, but on my word, it is my honest experience.

So, I purchased the digital editions of GODZILLA #1 and the Gangsters and Goliaths trade from Comixology. My buddy let me borrow his iPad so I could get the full digital experience. The "normal" mode of swiping from page to page was a little underwhelming--I'd rather just read the comic itself. But, I must say I was really surprised how different the experience is when viewing the comic in "widescreen" mode, where focus is limited to single panels, or sections of panels, zoom in/out, etc. It's a much more cinematic experience! I was very surprised to find that I enjoyed G&G even more on the iPad than I did in print! It was, in a word, awesome!

With the Comixology sale going on, I would recommend experiencing it for yourself. With each single issue at only .99 , it's a gamble worth taking! :)

Enjoyed #3 immensely! The action, monsters, Boxer and his crew all are top notch in this issue. The story is coming together nicely ....and the art is great! Swierczynski and Gane deserve congrats on the work they're doing with Toho's Finest!!

James Stokoe (ORC STAIN) has a Godzilla book coming out this week. He writes and draws the thing! io9 got the preview:

This is probably the best-looking Godzilla comic you’ve ever read

Six more pages like this one at the link above! :D

    ^^^^^^^ I don't like the overtly manga-influenced art, sorry.

Here is a different take on it -- variant cover by Frank Teran!
