YES! I thought I might have been too late. Of course, not all my questions got asked / answered, and they were also edited, but these things happen in X-Position. And I wasn't expecting much of substance, having seen the editors answer questions before, but at least they know there are fans interested in seeing more Namor and what we want to see -- which is why it was great that you sent a question in, even if they didn't get to it.

And no, not holding my breath waiting for the 'amazing things.' That tends to mean different things to editors and fans. LOL!

Here's my unedited, full list o' questions I sent in. Obviously, I was going for a "beat the crap out" theme.

First off, I want to say thank you to all of you for helping revitalizing the X-verse since the reboot of UXM. I'm enjoying the X-books so much more now. Secondly, NEVER let Kieron Gillen leave UXM. He's fantastic!

Namor has been in the X-books for 3 years now, but I feel very little has been done to integrate him with the X-verse and opportunities have been missed, like the Age of X relationship with Storm that was mindwiped, of all things, or his magical nature and magic users with Illyana or Colossus. Nor has any of his many connections to the Marvel Universe been used, even when the opportunity arose, like the FF in X-Men, his war buddy Captain America in AvX, or the recent X-Club series (which was excellent otherwise) featuring the Invaders foe, Dr. Nemesis, Atlanteans & an Invaders connection! Will this change in the future? And to each of the editors, if you were given the directive to integrate Namor more fully into the X-verse, what one story / idea would you pitch?

Is there any X-editor that has been campaigning for Namor appearances that I can send a box of chocolates in appreciation and bribe for more GOOD appearances? Yes, sadly, there have been some bad appearances in the X-book -- don't make me list them.

In hindsight, or if you were EIC with unlimited powers, what would you have done differently to make Namor the First Mutant a successfully selling ongoing? Can you do that for his next ongoing, which I'm hoping will happen REAL SOON NOW?

Dr. Nemesis tried to kill Namor and his fellow Invaders in WWII. When are we going to see Namor beat the crap out of him for that? Or even confront him? Okay, I'll settle for a, "Don't I know you?" if it appears on panel.

Are we ever going to see a resolution on panel between Namor and Emma over Shaw? At this point, I'm beginning to believe Namor knew all along Shaw was alive and is just letting Emma dangle. But at the very least can we see Namor beat the crap out of Shaw?

I know it's impossible to focus on the Atlanteans, but honestly, it seems as editors, writers, and characters have completely forgotten them! In Schism Wolverine wanted to blow up Utopia, which, according to Namor the First Mutant #11 would rained destruction down on New Atlantis, since it sits beneath Utopia. Does Wolverine have absolutely no regard for the lives of the Atlanteans and the new home they are trying to create? Will we ever see Namor beat the crap out Wolverine for this?

What is going on with Loa? She was a great connection to the X-Men for Namor and I loved seeing the pair together in Fear Itself: The Deep. Can we get more of them together in the X-books? Can they team up to beat the crap out of Sunfire and Armor in the Great Ice Cream Wars of 2012?

I also like 616 Sunfire. Will we see him back in the X-books soon? He and Namor can beat the crap out of each other some more.

Well, it certainly wouldn't hurt me at all to see Namor whooping more a$$. I guess GeorgeT didn't pick up on my theme, though I'm happy he picked the questions.

But yes, I went for a lighter tone, in the hopes that the questions would be chosen. Understandably, they don't like too much confrontation / negativity.

Just finished AvX #3. Namor got.... wait for it, a whole sentence!!! Awesome! Loa made a good appearance in AA so that was nice. Shaw did as well im curious to see where that goes.

Forgot that Avengers Academy is out today! Great news on Loa! Any reason given for WHY they are going with the rest of the kids instead of heading for New Atlantis? Why is Shaw there? He's not a kid.

Cyclops teleported his xtinction team out of utopia and left the rest of the kids and staff there. The kids were taken to AA for their protection and Dr Nemesis and the other female doctor went there to keep an eye on things. I guess shaw was taken there because of how dangerous he is. He did escape from his cell though.

However, thanks to you, Shogun, and some of the review threads, I have the pertinent info. Will still be buying, it though, when it comes in again.

AvX #3 matched my lowered expectations. I guess Brubaker didn't read Sub-Mariner Revolution, where Namor gets Xavier to use Cerebro to help him find the rogue cell of Atlanteans. Brubaker has done much better by Namor in Cap's book, but just no room here, I guess, and nothing egregious, so I'll count my blessings. JRJR's background shots of Namor were nice this time around.

Sadly, it looks like no Namor appearances next week, though. However, I just saw Alex Alonso post this pic of Stuart Moore's prose adaptation of CIVIL WAR! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that our Namor the First Mutant scribe will expand Namor and the Atlanteans' role a bit in the novel!

I know! First the X-Men Legacy comment and now this. What's up with Jen?

I'm definitely glad we get a re-match on Namor's turf (UXM), but Cage must have gotten a HUGE upgrade. I wish I had that Marvel Age story where Namor encounters Cage and the rest of the Avengers.

Q: Will we be seeing the Illuminati in meeting as a group in AVX? Captain America, Iron Man, Namor, Doctor Strange, and Professor X are all in AVX in one way or another. Will we see them debating the issue with each other?

Tom Brevoort: Yes, in NEW AVENGERS.

So keep an eye out for a Namor Illuminati appearance! Should be interesting. I hope he gets a big role, and actually makes the cover this time.

TomBrevoort: Sorry, but asking about after AvX is something I'm not really ready to discuss at this point--you'll have to wait and see what happens IN AvX first.

I was muchly disappointed by the answer, as he telling fans of other characters that there were big plans after AvX. Guess I should have asked earlier.
