i really like the cross-stitching on his vest in that agents of atlas pic! thanks for posting that rheged. and namora looks lovely as always.

I find it amazing too. It has a scale-like appearance (but not texture/touch) and also finely crafted, something worth of his highness.

@the jelly picture: I could totally see Atlantean cloths having a similar composition/appearance/texture to a jelly's umbrella. It would obviously have a much more fluid motion underwater. Wonder if that could be some sort of "leather" for them.

There's certainly enough jellies, and a variety of them, to serve as some sort of leather or cloth. It would also be very clingy and sheer when they came out of the water.

Attuma's hideous helmet and the rapid construction / growth of Oceanus also shows that they have some sort of coral manipulation, that seems to involve strengthening it also. Which would allow for some pretty fantastical ornamental pieces.

But I agree. When we see Namor in court, he should put on the fancy stuff!

I would buy that in a heart beat! Actually, I'd have no hesitations buying just a Namora mini, if they went that route. I enjoyed her one shot.

i'd like to see them together again in modern times....doing something really regal and befitting of their experience. maybe drawing on their last adventure together in agents of atlas. perhaps it would be their purpose to redefine that whole "confederation of atlantis" notion. maybe after all these humiliations atlantis has suffered, it could come back the stronger with namor and namora as a united royal force.

that would be something i would love to see. perhaps a joint-ruling of atlantis, with namor controlling one part of the sea and namora ruling equally in another part.

@Rheged: those are amazing drawings, and quite good designs too! They do feel like jewelery and embellished clothing. The last one, I find the forearms a bit too busy, but I find the robes and cloak quite interesting! They seem to be inspired on the color scheme and patterns of manta rays. If they also flip around with a motion like their "wings" do while they swim, it would be royally awesome!

Definitely!!! It would be cool to see them explore their experiences and their uniqueness above and underwater. I think we haven't seem them properly team up to do something together in a long while, last thing I can remember was Incredible's Herc arc and obviously it wasn't centered on them, and Atlas, though I didn't read it so I dunno exactly how does that count as doing something together (instead of just appearing on panel at the same time). And as Rheged mentioned, totally would love a Namora mini too!

Wonder, could Marvel put an "anthology" ongoing 30 pages of story, 15 Agents of Atlas, 15 Namor, for 3.99? I think that could work nicely if properly planed, but then again Marvel (and DC for the matter) seem too hooked up to their current business models to even consider anything outside of their toolboxes, let alone implement

I love the idea of someone picking up on Namor and Namora's relationship after the Agents of Atlas snafu. Even if it isn't resolved romantically, like you, I think they could still do tons with their respective responsibilities to Atlantis and how they handle situations differently. Especially with Namora. Considering the Atlantean situation, I can't help but feel that she's very much needed and yet very much avoiding those responsibilities. A mini-series dealing with that and heading in the direction you're talking about would be great!

I also love your idea of redefining the Confederation of Atlantis. Actually, any defining of Atlantis would be awesome in my book. I still love the idea of some giant, sprawling epic undersea conflict between Atlantis and Lemuria ... as you'll see in this month's Age of Marvels solicits.

But back to Namora and Namor ... there's plenty that could be done with these two in a mini-series. Heck, finding out about Namorita would be fantastic plot fodder.

I think just discovering Namorita's alive in this timeline would bring the two of them together. Of course, the problem of her being in this timeline could be the problem they have to solve ... or not.

yes, well remember in byrne's series they told how ancient atlantis was all about cloning and it led to bloody civil war....and how it had become this unspeakable crime over the centuries. after namorita was revealed to be namora's clone, the atlanteans eventually reluctantly accepted her.

i could see how there would still be some militant atlanteans who never let that go, and would want to destroy any clone, including a royal one.

Given their retro trends lately, I'd be happy to see some 40s or 50s Namor and Namora adventures. I loved the Herc story with Namor and Namora! Great stuff!

I've often thought, especially for the X-Men, an anthology ongoing would be ideal and allow a lot of the characters people want to see have a little page time. Sadly, though, they don't seem to sell that well. Somewhere ... I brought up the old Marvel Presents, which were anthology books, but one anchored by Wolverine. I'd even be happy with that, as long as there were pages for stories about a other characters as well.

Hadn't thought of that. Agents of Atlas and Namor might do well in either an anthology book for retro stuff or even the old twofers, where Namor got his Silver Age start, like Tales to Astonish.

I'm not sure Llyron is still around, after Radioactive Man got through with him. But remember what his 'master plan' for repopulating Atlantis was? He really was a piece of work.
