Omg... I feel so icky right now... I was coming up with a list of actors for a poll and a nice introductory post for the Namor Appreciation thread I was going to make: Super sexy speedo! Namor Appreciation Thread!!!!

Forget it... I'm going to post a list of actors anyway!

Here are some actors I thought would be great choices! Not just in looks, but in terms of what type of character their acting range is in

Ian Somerhalder
Jake Gyllenhaal
Zachary Quinto
Jason Behr
Brian Austin Green
James Lafferty
Trevor Donovan

Lol. My computer kept freezing or this would have been up sooner. Anyway, at least someone made one. We've gone too long without one on here for his actual fans to show appreciation without scorn over the fact that he isn't an actual mutant... *eye roll*

I'm not familiar with most of the names on your list.
The first guy almost has the eyebrows.
He's a little too pretty and would need to put on about 60lbs of muscle for me to take him seriously though.
And I definitely can't speak for his acting ability.
The others are 'meh'.
Who'd you have at #1?

I know this Atlantean is dating Storm, but this does not belong on the X-Board. It should be moved ASAP to the MU Board. Namor is not a real mutant. He is homo mermanus, not homo superior.

Ian or Jake.

Ian is on the show Vampire Diaries who plays the character of a vampire who used to go anywhere and do anything that he pleased. His attitude is very similar to Namor's in most of the roles he's played. He's much buffer now than he was when that pic was taken. It just looked more... Namor-esque.

Jake is an extremely well known actor who's been in many different movies and has played several different characters. He's very built and exudes the sexuality I think it takes to play the role.

From what I've gathered, his wings are more mystical in that he needs them in tact to fly, but they don't work in the conventional sense like Warren's wings.

btw guys, i was at midtown comics tonite after work and saw that namor: curse of the mutants is out on tpb! the retailer said the title is selling suprisingly well at least in his store (it is the times sq location, so...)

he need his wings to fly (at least psychologically). they got cut off in the namor 90s series until neptune gave them back. i don't think he could fly without them (but i doubt they are strong enough to keep him in the air).

I was there on Sunday!
Almost picked it up.
I bought Issues #6 & #7 instead.

the betty dean story @ #5 is good.....i have a standing dislike for most new x-men, but alani is starting to grow on me in this title. i hope that stuart moore remembers some of namor's older allies in the coming issues as well. the logomancer is really irritating to me.
