Yeah, but that's not the point. We're talking about how the crime of rape is defined, and that definition pretty much comes down to: "Person A doesn't want to, person B does it anyway." The circumstances don't really matter.

And just to further this, you can't legally give consent away via verbal agreement. It always will come down to whether the person either wants or is willing (for favors/payment assuming legality) at the time.

If someone agreed to have sex after a loss and went along with the actual sex freely, it wouldn't be rape because the person presumably didn't mind the idea in the first place.

If that agreement was made without much thought or whatever and, at the point of "pay up," was not willing, resisting, or otherwise saying No, it would be rape regardless of any conditions or deals made earlier.

I'm sure we can all find other things to talk about than what is and what isn't rape.

Anyways, you can look up "rape as comedy" under Tvtropes. A rather weird and often times disturbing trope to many, but I think this is clearly what Aiki was employing.

i know a lot of people dont consider rape funny but like i said, after seeing what i saw on wolf guy, what jou did to that chick seemed tame to me.

I almost (until chapter 2) thought I would like Seikoku no Ryuu Kishi more than Dragon Crisis. But now I could care less.

I will just warn you to take note of the subtitles. I just found better ones and boy does it make a difference.

It wasn't that bad, not as great as greed island, but not bad at all.

Until the multiple hiatuses started stacking up and killed all the pacing. Then when it came back its pacing and narrative structure was all off. It was like the author just said. "ok I'm going to give up and just narrate the shit out of this arc till its done." This was a terrible decision because not only was it one of the most boring battle manga's I've read during that period. It was also just plain hard to follow. I still don't fully understand what happened with Gon, that was one of the most random and largest power-ups I've seen in a manga. Killua just kinda disappeared for a while, and an large amount of page time was devoted to non-main characters who were just introduced.

I hope the manga can now come back to form with the new arc, but I'm not going to get my hopes up.
