So... Raven's pretty damn dangerous in a fight.

That he is. I'm uncertain about how I feel about Raven. On the one hand I guess that I'm supposed to be annoyed by how utterly perfect and sweet he is, and I am. But on the other hand he seems like a perfectly nice guy. I think that his followers annoyed me more than anything.

I am very happy with the developments in the latest chapter. It's good to see Shion willingly get back in the game and want to one-up Raven. And I for one thought that the covering of Emma's ears was adorable.

Really, I'm more annoyed by Aichi's depressive reaction.

Why does he react like that? He already knew that he had to get stronger for that tournament.

Hell, Kamui spent all those weeks training and for some reason he's depressed too!

I mean, at least Misaki was obviously not taking things seriously enough so it makes sense that she would be surprised/depressed at the fact that she's falling behind a bit, but the other two's reactions make no real sense.

It's pretty much standard new season stuff, to reinforce the threat level of the new season to the viewers and all that. We are apparently morons and all that...

But yeah, it is kind of annoying.

Also, now I want to punch Rekka or whatever her name is. She lacks Ren and Aichi's stylish smug superiority and instead just becomes annoying.

By 'stylish smug superiority', I am going to assume you mean 'so over the top it is awesome'.

But damn, Chiffon is like the only tank / lightning bruiser in a group that's almost entirely composed of glass cannons and fragile speedsters (determinated glass cannons and fragile speedsters, but still glass cannons and fragile speedsters), which sucks for everyone trying to fight her.

Been reading Kurogane for a while now. It's probably the only sports manga I genuinely like.

If memory serves, it doesn't start going really meta until Kumagawa shows up, and then when Ajimu becomes a main character it starts going full throttle.
