Toriko: I'm really liking master Chin and I look forward to seeing what Shuu can do.

D.Gray-man: I like this but I would probably like it more if there was less waiting time between chapters.

You mean that tojou challenge to Aiba mirrors how Oga randomly challenged people back in the first arc?

Say what you will but Oga was never reduced to tears because of girl problems.

    Oga is awesome.

It would be hard to. Powers arise from being dead and crossdressing? A harem of beautiful women, but half of them are kinda spiteful towards you? Man, he's got it rough.

Taeko's "I'm jealous of your legs" comment was hilariously damaging, but it was also kind of cute on her part.

Saras...well it isn't too common in harems, or any anime for that matter, for a girl to decide she wants in on that after seeing the man's ass. Female Gaze + Love at first ass shot? Quite unusual, but par for the course with this series I suppose.

It's the cross-dressing for me, which honestly wasn't really all that bad until now.

I mean, in front of the entire school, who are uploading photos to the internet during your transformation sequence and to top it all your memory erasing powers fail at the critical moment (and If I am reading into this right will likely fail for some time at least), and to top it off you end up naked.

    That's just humiliating.

I'd die. Just die. If I were a zombie I'd redie.

No. I meant how the chibi-love triangle mirrored the Oga/Aoi/Hilda love triangle, to a point.

That's because he's too stupid to realise that he has girl problems.

Rough was the first season. This season seems to aim at side-splittingly humiliating.

Decided to read the first volume of Biomega. Definitely interesting, although I'm unsure if I should continue on until I read Blame! Are the two connected, or is it just the same mangaka?

So, you guys may recall me and Hazard saying that the first season of Cardfight!! Vanguard was over.

Well, it turns out that after an entire year of delivering one episode per week, the creators took a long, well-earned rest of...one day. The first episode of the second season played yesterday, eight days after the first season ended.

Cardfight!! Vanguard is apparently immune to your silly concepts of "anime season" and "taking a break".

I never finished Blame, but as far as I can tell: They are kinda connected, but not really, no.

That is to say, some stuff appears in both (Toha Heavy Industries, synthetic humans, etc) so they are at least alternate versions of the same setting. But if they are supposed to fit together in some kind of continuity, I have absolutely no idea how.

Granted, I found Biomega to be really hard to make sense of half the time, and Blame wasn't much better. So hell if I know.

Oh yeah, you right. I can see that. But the kids are a lot more hmmm.... unrestrained.

If he doesn't realize he has them, it means he doesn't have a problem. It's not something that bothers him

I sometimes wonder if Oga is just a huge moron or if he is frankly speaking, crazy.

We've seen few times that he sometimes thinks farther ahead than he lets on. But usually he just goes and does something totally absurd by any human logic.

Oga is actually quite interesting character because we rarely get insight into what he's actually thinking

Meanwhile in Id... everybody loves Id. And I mean everybody.

Men, women, humans, elf, dragons, magical swords, ancient abominations from eras long past... they all practically trip over themselves to prove who's he's bestes friend is. Then Id flips up and goes on a rampage.

I love Id but it's hard to deny that he's borderline Gary Stu.

    Saint Seiya Omega:

Well, there is a school for Saints.

You know, I kind of want to poke fun at this, but it does kind of feel like something Saori would do. Most of the Saints are dead by the end of the manga, and school seems overall safer than the previous methods of training. I mean, the original Saint Seiya had like 100 kids being sent and only 16 or so returning alive, and that's not counting the guys those kids had to compete with to become Saints. Hell, the tamest training method is a kid having to fight grizzly bears daily and choking them to death.

So yeah, a school kind of makes sense. Safer all around and they need to fill in those ranks.

Such are the powers of merchandise backed anime is what I would normally say, but this pace is pretty damn fast even for that. Closest thing to this I can recall 5d's beginning right after GX ended, but even then that's different.

Man, I kind of feel sorry for those writers.
