Considering that there was apparently an editing war concerning Kishimoto's current vital status over at wikipedia I say that we wait until we hear something from credible sources.

On ANN there's an update saying that Viz confirmed with Shueisha that "all of its creators are safe".

Of course, I don't know what that precisely means, but I'd take it as a sign that all the Jump authors and such are okay until there's confirmation to the contrary.

I'd assume it to mean that the creators featured in their various (non-defunct) publications are safe.

Here's a list on wikipedia.

That would include all their Jump authors I'd assume. So yeah, Kishimoto Musashi, Oda Eiichiro, Shimabukuro Mitsutoshi (Toriko), Amano Akira (Katekyo Hitman Reborn) and the rest should all be safe and hopefully still working on their manga to keep their mind off the current troubles.

Shiranui once again proves that she's the coolest character in the entire series.

Y'know, I can't help but notice that if Kumagawa carried around weapons that could actually hurt people, he'd have won instantly. Again.

Though, I guess he would consider a win like that meaningless.

Interesting that they changed "hundred gauntlets" into "bookmaker."

So, I picked up a new series today. It's only on 17 chapters so far but it's a lot of fun.

Samurai High School is about a pair of twins, Sakakido Tsukiko and Sakakido Kou, respectively a super-strong mannish girl and an effeminate shy boy, and if you've got two brain cells you can already see where this series is going.

They attend the prestigious Samurai High School because Tsukiko wishes to become the Supreme Commander of their world, which is like a comedic sci-fi world with aliens and Samurai as the two main social groups. Whoever becomes president of the school will become the Supreme Commander and only the strongest student will gain that prize.

The only problem is that only boys are judged by merit of their strength, girls are judged by merit of their feminine qualities; cooking, cleaning, sewing, etc. So the twins switch places to gain entrance to the school, not realising once they succeed that if they are caught they and their families will be sent to the Slave Camps on the Moon for 500 years.

And that's your premise!

It reads very like Ranma1/2, it's very funny and has a lot of the kind of comedy you'd expect from a manga whose premise is built on copious cross dressing. There's martial arts, aliens, split personality moon-princess rabbit girls, models, perverted cross-dressing nurses and an emerging love... hexagon... I think... that is sure to keep the rom-com alive for many chapters to come.

So yeah, if you want something funny and heart-warming, check out Samurai High School now!

Started that one. It was actually pretty funny. Also, Tsukiko has some insane feats. It's like she was made for a respect thread.

By the way, I just realized who Kumagawa reminds me of - Seta Sojiro from Rurouni Kenshin. I wonder if that's deliberate.

This is what I'm worried about, Berserk updates so rarely it'd be a long time before we even realised if anything had happened.

No, not me and Nihei, we don't have the cognitive capacity to lead. Alright, we'll do it! We lead as two kings!"

If it didn't mean that Japan was utterly doomed to become a horrific megastructure filled with monstrosities.

Anyhow...

New Kateikyoushi Hitman Reborn is out and we're finally on the rematch we've dying to see! Though, I kind of really want this arc to finish, not because it's bad but because the next arc, if my predictions are correct, has all kinds of capacity for ridiculous awesome.

That said, I'm enjoying the story at the moment a lot.

Though the cliffhanger has me on tenterhooks.

No Kore Wa Zombie Desu Ka this week. I guess it is one of the shows that got cancelled after the event of the disaster that took place in Japan.


Seems like all the super powered girls have appeared alongside Ayumu. There is one other girl right? I'm talking about the one who isn't one of the super powered girls. I think I like her.

Himekawa pulls off something I'd expect from Hiruma and wins the game in absolutely brilliant fashion.
