I decided to watch Gun x Sword. While it's pretty good, I can't help but find that it's also a victim of what I call the Trinity Blood Syndrome.

New Beelebub is out and... that's it?
That's one of the most rushed and horribly anti-climatic endings I've ever seen in a shounen manga.
I haven't been this disappointed since the last magical world arc in Negima. In that one people at least got to do stuff before the final battle. It wasn't all that much and little of it mattered in the end but they got to do stuff nontheless.
Your definition of power read is different than my own, and not in the way you think.
You see, what you call power reading is merely a light read, accompanied by refreshments.
True power reading involves reading your weight in pages. Non-stop. I must mention that I weigh over 127 kg.

The manga didn't end up like Bleach, with dozens of chapter focusing on one battle. I can be thankful for that.
I thought the idea of the Father Switch was kind of nice. And the fact that he ended up inviting En to come and play. In the end, he was just lonely.
Frankly, the reprocussions of the incident may be the more interesting aspects of the story.
Well, thanks to Christmas break, I was able to power-read through all 123 chapters of Zetman that I've missed since stopping at Chapter 50. And now I bow my head in shame for putting this awesome series in the backburner and will humbly commit seppuku for my lack of diligent loyalty.
After completing Chapter 173, I have three things to say:
Jin better start kicking major ass.
Kouga better start kicking major ass.
Haitani....better be getting a MAJOR ASS-KICKING FROM JIN AND KOUGA!
God, this prick makes me miss Aizen and he reminds me too much of Enishi (not the respectable qualities either). I have nothing constructive to say about this self-righeous, megalomaniac other than he seriously needs to die.
I'm really interested in seeing Kouga's upgrade. At the moment he's incredibly outmatched by the various players. If he's going to be able to save anyone, he better get some powerboost.

Sometimes you lose things which you don't expect losing. It doesn't make the hurt any less.
I've yet to see anime versions of Godzilla, Mothra, et al.
Show me a bitter nazi and I'll show you a sour kraut.

I think that Godzilla is often referenced in manga, often obliquely (the Kaiju movies that the Detective Boys love in Detective Conan, for example), but not really all that influenced by it. This is probably at least partially because Godzilla and Kaiju in general are basically just giant animals, often with random energy attacks so they're kind of generic in general to start with. This is especially true for the reptilian ones, what with Dragons and T-Rexes predating Kaiju by centuries/millenia/eons.
Toriyama references Kaiju and Sentai all the time, especially in Dr. Slump (and with Baby Gamera making an appearance in early DB), but the only thing I can think of that's really got a Kaiju-ish in his original works would be Oozaru Saiyajin, and even then only Goku and Gohan since the others are supposed to be just as intelligent and erudite as there normal forms (though since the only other one we ever saw much of was Vegeta, its arguable if that's really all that impressive).

Fox Mr. Sinister (holding Rogue's chin): "So beautiful, yet so strong."
Fox Wolverine: "Well, I always did think I was kinda cute. Nice of you to mention it."

Look I mean kaiju and daikaiju in general have had an aesthetic influence on monster anime. For some reason the title of the post has'nt changed even though I went to advanced editing.Examples include Pokemon Tyranitar's likeness to Godzilla,Nidoking to Baragon,Rhyhorn a bit to Angurius,Mothra's larva form to Caterpie,Blastoise or Wortortle to Gamera,Ononokus to Destroyah and Godzilla,Hydreigon to King Ghidorah vaguely etc.I mean this is just Pokemon I'm talking about.I could likely go on if I include Digimon (ex.Hedorah's likeness to Raremon and the "spirit evolution" of Digimon frontier being comparable to Power rangers transforming) and Monster rancher.
