It all evens out. For every horrible horrible thing that happens to him something good comes by.

Like say, the evilest woman in the manga being dere for him.

So really, the plot gods are tsundere for him.

    And it has Gator.

    Gator is awesome.

But yes, Tower of God does a good job of balancing its cast.

And Koon, who's plans are nothing short of brilliant.

I like all of the part 1 regulars. Except Rachel of course, really hate that bitch.

Now there was a plot twist that honestly surprised me.

Escaflowne isn't even a fair example, mostly because the original anime was specifically created to appeal to both genders(a "Shojen" if you will).

I ended up watching Carnival Phantasm in another language. And I couldn't understand what they were saying. But its still unbelievably funny to me. Their antics break through the language barrier. These Fate Stay Night characters and Tsukihime characters do well together. And I like seeing the characters who live sad lives in their respective worlds get a much needed happy life in the Carnival Phantasm world.

Although, Lancer seems to always pick the short stick and is at the recieving end of one humiliation after another. But its still better than in his original world.

Also, I enjoyed the friendship between Shirou and Shiki. I didn't expect them to be such good friends considering Shiki's care free personality and Emiya's wokaholic personality. But they actually have a pretty good partnership going on. And they really get into a hilarious situation at the end.

Sometimes you lose things which you don't expect losing. It doesn't make the hurt any less.

    Magico 61:

We have a big bad for the series. He's kind of casually ugly IMO.

I do love the loyalty and trust shown by Shion and Emma, along with the their bribing of the cats.

And that last page... is really creepy.

Why aren't more people reading this manga?

Looks like Magico is trying to outdo Soul Eater in moon based shenanigans.

I kind of lost my interest somewhere around chapter 50.

I think I can see why that would happen. Magico, while pretty good, is a touch superficial in places. Things just sort of seem to happen without... a real sense of consequence. I'm not exactly sure how to describe it. I like Shion and his family, but I don't feel super invested in the story exactly.

    *thinks about it*

Well, I guess I can get that. Hopefully the recent revelations will change all that and give the story some added depth and focus.

    Baby Steps 99:

Ei-chan's specialised muscle training begins and we catch up with some of his rivals.

I'm really liking coach Aoi. He just kind of feels different from other weird trainers in manga.

Yeah, it looks like we're about to get our serious story arc on.
