Finished Shakugan no Shana Final:

Well, it was all in all a pretty good ending, though nothing unexpected. I still can't kinda shake the feeling that the entire war was a bit uncessecary - like thousands of lives were lost only because Yuji/the Snake of the Festival and the Flame Hazes had terrible communication skills. oO

I also thought the ending was kinda abrupt. Maybe it was because this whole season was basically just one huge, world-shaking epic battle to the death between good and evil... but I thought it would have been nice if they had spent at least a few minutes showing the characters just finally settling down with their lives. I mean, considering we've followed these people for three seasons, I was sorta expecting a bit more closure from the big finale.

Though I must admit I liked that Yuji spoilers:

managed to bring Yukari Hirai back to life. The fact that she died in the first episode of the first season and returned in the last episode of the last season was kinda nifty. Plus her death was one of the most depressing events in the series, so it getting reversed was a nice touch.

Yeah, but after hearing Yuji's rant about his philosophy on a severe self-sacrifice/punishment, we finally know what kind of child they had together.

Quick flashbacks show that almost every battle that Cruz has been wounded in while watching from the sidelines has been evidence that he was always a Needless.

Nobody knows what his power is, but he could dispel Agnishwattas, block Strom's Ice, and bend Hatfield's Rain Laser away.

I'm...not really surprised by this. Even back when I watched the anime version of Needless, I thought she had a crush on him. Still, her straight out saying she had "a sexual interest" in him had my jaw hanging for a minute. Then I remembered that this is Needless. "'Subtlety'? What's that?!"

I don't know, it doesn't see like there is a consistency for just neutralization though. Agnishwattas got canceled out, but the Rail Laser got bounced away instead of dispelled, and Strom's ice shard seemed to actually break off of Cruz's body without piercing him. Also, when he stopped Aruka back in the Simeon Tower, he literally stopped her body, enough to make others believe at the time that it might have been Psychokinesis or Gravity, and only on playback did Disc decide that those two powers were not at work.

Possible. Some people have pointed out that the scars on his chest post Eve-healing are in a similar area to scars on the Second Christ's chest.

As for this:

Also the fact that she's saying it so matter-of-factly while trying to explain how she discovered he was a Needless. Oh, I found Needless Eden Seed while sniffing your underwear once. I totally have it hard for you. But moving on, Blade discovered he couldn't copy whatever power you have because he accidentally touched your forehead while we were stripping you while you slept to put kneesocks and gloves on you.



Oh, and this forces me to reread all those scenes where Disk strips down to only panties and has Cruz help her with the wires/circuits in her stomach with a whole new context. Hell, one of them already had a shitload of innuendo.

This is a case of reality is unrealistic. People have survived longer inside animals.

Is anyone here following Nisekoi?

If not, I would really recommend it. Probably the best romantic comedy I encountered. The plot is interesting, the gags are funny and the characters are likable. Moreover it doesn't rely on excessive fanservice and the usual gags.

It's really awesome. one of better series in SJ right now.

It's just a bit of a running joke. They guy is creative and his stories are fun, but they always seem to get cancelled.
