at what point does Beserk become awesome?

I've read through the first 200 pages and I'm waiting for it to become cool.

it doesn't seem any better or worse than Claymore for the first couple of hundred pages. I can only hope that, unlike Claymore, Beserk keeps getting better and better over time.

    200 pages... that's what volume 1?

The story really kicks into awesome-gear in volume three. Volume one is a bit forgettable to be honest, not much interesting happens. Volume two has a more interesting story arc that concludes in volume three and the latter half of volume three gets into the Band of Hawk story arc which is crazy awesome.

From there the story really just goes from strength to strength and the writing is amazing.

okay-- I guess I gotta grant that MOST manga (and comics) don't start out awesome. there are a lot of manga that I really enjoyed that started off pretty weak. I'll try out some more Beserk later.

I'm not even sure what to think about that. It'd have been easier if there was some sort of foreshadowing to that kind of ability being in reserve.

It seems the Organization's numbers aren't so arbitrary after all.

    Also, shit keeps getting worse.

Default What LoZ game would make the best anime series?

Twilight Princess for me. I know I'd be at least interested in it, though if they made Link talk it would have to be just the right voice actor.

I also included the option LoZ wouldn't make a good anime series/Not Interested.

EDIT: I think it'd be cool if they made a series for each game. But, that's just my fantasy.

I think that I'd prefer a hybrid between several of the games so that we can include all kinds of awesome characters from the various games.

...as long as Midna gets to be on the show.

I voted for Majora's Mask because we get more transformations and a lot of time travel.

I would love for it to be one grand story or have the best elements of each game mixed in though.

For a Zelda anime, I would prefer a hybrid between game stories, or something completely new.

I really like the visual style of Twilight Princess, for example. But the story in the manga of Ocarina of Time was surprisingly mature. The story in the manga of Four Swords was wonderful and more than a little twisted. It would be perfect for a more offbeat, humourous anime. I think actually the only Zelda games that have not had an official manga (yet) are Twilight Princess and maybe Spririt Tracks.

The reason I bring up the mangas is because in all of them, Link has dialogue. And the dialogue is usually written to suit the character, whatever his personality is in that particular story. So yes, get a good voice actor who can do a voice that fits with the visuals and I would not balk at a talking Link (that goes for the games too).

I just don't want any "Excuuuuuuuuuse me, Princess!"

Twilight Princess had the most involved supporting cast.

Of course, a good bit of that was annoying kids...

Yeah, I'm with Dark Soul on this. Legend of Zelda has a very rich mythology and so it would be beneficial to drawn inspiration from the whole series.

Really, a better question would be which stylistic approach from the various games said anime should go for:

I'm just glad they started giving him pants halfway through.

    #1 Those pictures are amazing!

#2 I think they had to give Link pants once the jerkin got to a certain height. (hem length? does that apply to non-skirts?)

But I do agree, I think they should draw character inspiration from all of the games because every game has at least a handful of awesome and memorable characters, both good and evil.

Nthing the idea of making a hybrid so all the awesome guys from the various games can participate.

The good thing about Zelda is that such a thing is easy to do; multiple incarnations of the same characters are a staple of the series.
