    Cool article.

The new Venom ongoing comic book is a must read comic book from what i know already from it.

Have not got my first issue, but have it pre-ordered months ago already.

And the more info is revealed about this new ongoing comic book, the more it seems to be just a great satellite title of Spidey comics.

Betty Brant as a main supporting cast member.Yay.

Jack o Lantern return as a main villain to boot, with a visual redesign.Yay.

Venom against Kraven in the Savage Land writen by Remender.Yay.

And Flash Thompson working as a spy as Venom is a interesting concept which i think have lots of potential.

There was a similiar taken on Jack O Lantern in Ghost Rider a few years back that I felt was a great direction to the take the character. Remender does a great job with all the characters in the first issue

One thing I liked in reading this interview was Remember not seeming to have any problem doing his research on the characters he writes. His view towards continuity reminds me of my own towards the subject. Not as some huge weight that drags down the writer's creativity, but as a goldmine for storytellers to draw upon. I love the man's work on the PUNISHER, and the monster related , overly maligned FRANKEN-CASTLE arc. And after getting a sample of Flash as Venom in AMAZING#654.1, I'm super stoked for this. Also can't wait to see this new Jack O' Lantern him and Tony Moore are ready to spring on us.

from the others samples I've seen, Terry Moore did a fantastic work !
He really appropriates himself the character, giving him a really funny gestural and a really personal way of "walking thru" that I always wanted to see at last once for the original Spidey ...

Venom finally find his right place in the MU and I'm sure Remender will make of this book a real hit...

He [Kraven] sees Venom in his black costume and thinks Spider-Man has come to the Savage Land. He's pretty wigged out on psychotropic cacti juice and crazy as shit.
I can't stop laughing at this.

I follow Jack and i am offended that he did not use the last one with demonic powers.

    That is all.

Joking AHAHHAHHAHA! But seriously,he should have used that one.

From what I understand, Flash can't help but absorb a little bit of the symbiote with each mission. But they're trying to keep the two from fully bonding as a way of controlling Venom. Guesstimating how much Flash will absorb, they have it at around twenty or so missions before his 'tour' in the suit is up.

    So...it's a 20 issue series or not ?

Because even I have to admit that this is an interesting concept to the Spider-man mythos.

Ongoing. I'm sure some kind of wrench will get thrown into things and either Flash fully bonds despite the military's attempts to control the situation, or the suit gets handed off to someone else. But I expect the former.

    Thumbs up

Quotes I LOVED about this interview!
    • Flash is not the Punisher, and he's not the members of X-Force. He is a soldier though and we will drop him into war zones where killing is going to be necessary. He's not going to turn away from that
    • [ref. General Dodge] He was blinded at some point in his career but still managed to rise to the rank of General. That might also have been why he selected Flash, because Flash's situation speaks to him. And he might have overlooked some aspects of Flash's personality that are going to work against him and the project.
    • Betty's role in the first ten issues will be pretty shocking I think. We're working hard to make sure she's not just Venom's girlfriend. She's not the cast member waiting in an apartment that will get upset when he doesn't show up for a date.
    • [ref. Jack O'Lantern] He's a piņata of death. He throws candies made of Antarctic Vibranium that will melt through armor and dissolve people's faces. He's got candy corns made of acid. He's got Ghost grabbers; giant claw like devices that look like Ghosts that lock you down while he kills you. He's pretty much a complete psychopath. His calling card for his assassinations is cutting open a target's head, scooping out their brains and eyes, replacing them with a candle, and then putting the top of their head back on. When Jack O Lantern does a hit, you know it
    • There's just so much great stuff to be mined out of it. I think we've got 15 issues pretty well broken down at this point

He can only wear it for 20 missions, 48 hours at the time. But ONE mission "could" span 6 issues, so I don't think we need to worry that Remender will run out of issues, before he runs out of missions.

The 99% of the suit was recovered teaser from Amazing 654.1 will play a part in this series eventually one would think.
