You know what I hate about this event? That the covers for these annuals suck ass but the interiors are worth a million bucks; that's why I passed on preordering this first issue and now I'm kicking myself. Thanks Marvel. :/

What are you talking about? Those covers are perfectly fine. One of them, the red one with Steve Rogers taking on the entire Negative Zone is quite good even.

Personally I haven't preordered this because I'm not so sure about this Ibraim Roberson guy... who the heck is he supposed to be?? He feels like a complete wildcard, an utterly unknown element. I have no idea if he's going to be one of those too unpolished debutants, the kind of peeps that do one issue of X-men Unlimited and then fade out for years ( mainly because they suck/haven't evolved to the right point yet).

So, I'll wait for some reviews of this thing, before I make up my mind.

I felt the same way about the covers! They're shockingly flat! (And not particularly expressive in the least.)

But the interior art has all been intensely rendered! I can't wait

The interiors are the best I've done so far. I really hope you dig it!
I already did some x-related books (X-Necrosha, New Mutants, Second Coming, X-Men Origins and a few others).

Let me know what you guys think about the preview.

    Cheers!

I wasn't impressed by the covers either, but that's mainly because the artist put a huge X-Plate on Namor's stomach and then ripped off two of his ankle wings.

I loved the preview pencils we saw months ago and was seriously bummed you weren't doing the Namor annual. But now that I see Namor is going to spend most of the event completely off his rocker, deranged, I guess it doesn't matter too much.

I AM wondering why Blastaar put Namor in the kitchen though.

Had a bit of a Jurassic Park velociraptor-kitchen-scene feel to it. Certainly looks quite manic.

Avengers vs. Atlas pretty much set the standard for this idiocy.

Allright...that looks great- an amazing Blastarr you've drawn there- very nice.
Okay, you've conned me into buying these three issues for your one issue's worth of artwork- the other two issues better not suck, pal!

What ya got coming up? You can tell us- we wont mention it to anyone.

Doctor Nemesis, basically filling the role of medic/all-around science guy left by the Beast in the X-men.
