Not sure how I feel about She-Hulk being part of the team.

It seems like they're going to forget about the new Nighthawk established in 'The Last Defenders.' Which is annoying.

Other than that though, this looks like it could be a really fun story to read.

Kaluta + Howard is great news !!!

That is a fine tie-in idea and I'm glad FEAR ITSELF will at last help new readers to familiar more with cool but rarely seen characters like NIGHTHAWK or HOWARD ( though everybody knows already how cool MAN THING is ), and I hope that'll lead to a new DEFENDERS book, and an HOWARD' ongoing as well..

fear itself is looking worst everytime they reveal new info.. with every new layer peeled it feels more and more like a childish gimmick, the type you see on saturday morning cartoons where some wacky character breaks in over the cartoon and talks in a wacky voice and reveals something to watch later down the road. *shudder*

With the SHRA gone, in theory there's no reason why Kyle Richmond can't be Nighthawk again.

Anyone else think by the end of the book, Kyle won't try to turn this team into the new New Defenders?

I think a little bit of the "saturday morning cartoon" vibe is a good thing in comics.

So many events these days try to be all dark and serious. And I suspect Fear Itself, as a whole, is no exception. Sprinkling in a few stories that don't take themselves so seriously, in my opinion, is a good thing.

Is there anything they won't slap the FI logo onto?

Wow, great way of including the Man-Thing in this event, given his powers of fear by touch.

Also YES, for the She-Hulk and Howard the Duck to be involved in this event.

Still don't know who the writer of this mini is ?

i would agree, normally (i like the wacky, cartoon stuff), but for this event i was really hoping to see a more dark, gritty, and morbid vibe.... from the very initial promo it looked really "adult" and scary but now it's coming off more like a joke.

i like the serious/mature tone surrounding the asgard gods (with a little comedy from herc and stuff) and i guess i was hoping/expecting this to be something it's not... my own fault i suppose.

I am ALL about this book. I love teams where the characters working together don’t necessarily make sense, vs. having a “theme” for being together (Champions remains one of my favorite, if not favorite, Marvel team books of all time). Add me to the list of people hoping this spins off into a Nighthawk/She-Hulk/Frankenstein/Howard Defenders book.

And as for the Last Defenders, I kind of lost interest after the first team (Nighthawk, She-Hulk, Colossus, Blazing Skull) split up. It was an interesting experiment but kind of a failed one. Besides, She-Hulk and Hellstrom have kind of left the events of that mini in the dust, so why shouldn’t Kyle Richmond as well? He’s a much more fun, interesting character than Joaquin Pennyworth was anyway (and who’s to say Joaquin isn’t out there as another Nighthawk besides).
There's no sense in nonsense when the heat's hot.

After Civil War, Secret Invasion, Dark Reign and Siege, I want to see super-heroes beating people up and winning for sake of good. Enough of this dark and gritty nonsense. It's tired and played out.
