"Exactly. It's one of those things where that issue could easily be pretty boring. It could be 20 pages of some big, mindless guy punching Superboy. And that's the last thing I wanted to do. Well, I guess that's not true. That's kind of what they wanted me to do, but I wanted to do it, hopefully, in a way that has some sort of emotional resonance and also ties into things that I've been trying to do with the character."
That bolded part made me LOL. Ohhhh DC editors.
Out of morbid curiosity, I flipped through today's Outsiders.
It's 20 pages of Doomsday beating up the team and then seemingly killing Eradicator before running off with his body, without it being made clear if he were alive or dead.
....So it was the exact same thing as the Steel one-shot, give or take a few other useless heroes for Doomsday to job.
If this is what is going to happen in Superboy and JLA as well, they might as well have released all of the installments at once.
"The truth of the matter is, when stuff like this pops up, I don't see it as, "Aw, crap. I have to do this Doomsday thing in the middle of my story." For me, I just decided to take it as an opportunity. If you're flexible and you roll with the punches, you can take it as an opportunity instead of something that's a hindrance."
He has a great attitude. I'm really enjoying Superboy and I feel confident he can make a Doomsday issue interesting.
Technically bart was still Impulse,so this is the first race between superboy and kid flash.
I think superboy#6 will be the best issue included in the reign of doomsday,i think lemire wil add actual story and real substance to the issue, where the steel and eradicator issues were mostly all fight.
Dont mess with the "S"
Plus, that's Superboy vs. Impulse, not Superboy vs. Kid Flash.
Speaking of which:
I dunno--as soon as I saw the variant cover by Manapaul I thought, "Krypto's gonna win it."The age old question is, who wins the race: Superman or The Flash? Can you handicap the Superboy/Kid Flash race for us?
No, I can't without telling you what happens. I don't think anyone will guess the answer, though.![]()
ugh. I hate that the Doomsday crossover is interfering with two of the books I'm reading. I might have to shelve those titles that month.
Having recently read the Ravers series, I was actually quite disappointed that it ended where it did, in particular where it left Sparx. And I do dislike that they decided to make Aura a binge-drinker. Sure she came off as a self-centered party girl when they first introduced, but you can see how they made strides in developing her and explaining why she had such a chip on her shoulder. I also liked how she began to admire and respect Conner for who he was and how he strived to lead his life.

2 things:
That looks like Damien with the Teen Titans; does this happen before he leaves the team?
I still have Superboy 4 on my back order list and #5 waiting in my bag/account until it comes in; I hope it gets here before #6 and Action 900...
Pull List; seems to be too long to fit in my sig...
