This is seriously one of the coolest hellboy covers I've ever seen:

I seriously love Francesco Francavilla, his pulp art sensibilities are amazing.

Agreed, although I really think this last one is the best of them all.

Exactly. I really want to see him doing more than covers though...

He's doing "Black Panther, Man Without Fear" for Marvel. It's wonderfully drawn on the style we see here on Hellboy.

He also did both the cover and the interior of Detective #874 and it was beautiful.

When we're arguing like gentlemen (or ladies?) over which cover is best when the crop is so creamy as in this case, I'm more than willing to concede a point. In other words, I wholeheartedly agree, Middenway!

I remember we were first shown that Francesco Francavilla back in December, and I just now saw the date on Mike Mingola's cover for The Fury... 2010. I knew comic covers were usually drawn in advance, but is it usually six months?

Could very well be in this case. Mike has known how the story will unfold for quite awhile, as he most likely wrote the script some time back, but Duncan still has to draw the thing, which obviously takes significantly longer.
