    Default Irredeemable #23 - WOW!

Okay I've only gone through once but had to post. This issue completely kicked so much posterior it was ridiculous. My biggest complaint about this series at times has been the pace. There's issues where it felt like not a lot really happened and the story didn't really feel like it advanced for me.

This issue is like the complete frickin' opposite of that feeling. SO much went on, there were SO many reveals and "oh crap" moments and advancements in storyline and creepy freaking creepiness (horny mental facility intake gollums anyone?).

WOW... just WOW. The wheels are SO back on the bus on this one for me. Can't wait to read it another couple times at least. One of the finest issues of this comic to date IMO.

dang, now i'm really eager to read it! One of my LCS didn't get their shipment this week, so I gotta wait til next week. ...or tomorrow and just go to the other LCS that carries it. =D
Comics were happier before the Internet turned writing superhero stories into fruitless attempts to impress/entertain a small group of ppl who appear to hate comics and their creators.

I'm a bit tired of how slow the story is going. If it doesn't become more fast-paced, I may have to drop it soon.

I enjoyed it, it is bogging down a little but still going to stick with it.

One of the things seriously nagging me is that I still don't understand where their powers came from.

This needs to be addressed. Apparently "Plutonian" was the FIRST hero ever. But, characters like Gilgamos have existed for eons. Also, Kaidan's power is described as being the oldest.

Where the hell did Qubit come from?

This is a fantastic book, but the problems with it are sizable and get in the way far too often.

The most important thing I wanna know is: What are they going to do about the Vespa now? This is apparently the most powerful space faring race there is, capable of conquering planets and now they're armed with cloned samples of Plutonian invulnerable skin. This is a huge problem. They were ruthless conquerors BEFORE. To say nothing of the fact that their numbers appear to be infnite. They were able to effortlessly clone large amounts of Plutonian's skin, so, what's to stop these completely bulletproof, invulnerable, nuclear missile-proof, armored skin wearing guys from blowing up Earth?

I don't think that would add anything to the story. In fact, I think it would be a total waste of time.

I agree with this. The Vespa were not well thought out at all.

They were supposed to be so advanced that even the Plutonian couldn't handle them, which is why Hornet made his Faustian bargain, but now they are outright scared of him. It's totally inconsistent.

I can understand them not attacking Earth, since that was part of the deal, but I can't stand the way they are portrayed in such an inconsistent manner.
