    I think this would probably get more discussion on the classics comics forum. I love Gottfredson's Mouse and have ordered the first volume of this. I've already read a lot of the stories elsewhere, but I thought I'd at least check out the first volume of this.

    I like Mickey Mouse and don't think he's the stiff corporate icon most do (at least, he hasn't been since 1995 with "Runaway Brain", which showed a more fallible Mickey. The characterization carried over to the Mouseworks shorts). However, I have a feeling this collection may be a bit too expensive for me. It would be nice if one of the local libraries got it, though.

    Yes! I read these from a young age as a (croatian-language) 1950s hardcover was handed down to me by my grandfather, and I've loved them (and recommended them) ever since.

    So glad to see a quality reprint, one which is (hopefully) going to be comprehensive.
