    Ah, excellent news.

Thank the lord. That (Tucker) might have been enough to keep me away completely.

I wonder why that many actors turned down the role. Who wouldnt want to be in a Tarantino movie? Is Django Unchained going to be that risque?
Dean: So, what do we do now?
Castiel: I suggest we imbibe copious quantities of alcohol... just wait for the inevitable blast wave.

I've completely forgotten JACKIE BROWN, so I'd forgotten this tidbit.

Very interesting. I figured Chris Tucker directed by Tarantino would be a mindscrew of some sort......now apparently there exists evidence of whether I'm right or not.

Perhaps because any self respecting black actor thinks playing a slave in 2012 is absurd?

It's set in the present? Some sort of alternate timeline-spaghetti western film? Awesome.

It's not an alternate timeline...it's set in a Wicker Manish place that's still practices slavery.

Tarantino 2012 isnt what he was in 1993 or 1998, nobody would turn down a role in his film if the last of his films havent been almost a parody of his old films. Look at the actors in his recent films they are not the best actor in hollywood exactly.

Kill Bill was the last film of his i enjoyed and i dont really care about this film unless he is back to his best.
    Pull List:
    The Walking Dead,Fatale,Near Death,Storm Dogs,Happy,BPRD,XO-Manowar
    American Vampire,Animal Man,Swamp Thing
    Daredevil, Winter Soldier,Indestructible Hulk

Didn't his last few films star people like Brad Pitt, Uma Thurman, and Leonardo DiCaprio (Django Unchained)? And has he ever actually have a big star in a major role in any of his films anyway?

I was thinking great actors or hailed actors and not stars. Weird how Foxx,Waltz is marketed being in Django but i havent heard anything about Leo Di Caprio.

I was thinking about Ingolirious Bastards starring Brad Pitt and many less hailed actors. Pitt isnt De Niro, Keitel etc

Uma Thurman is a star and not oscar winner exactly.

Have you seen the cast for this movie?

De Niro wasn't one of the leads in Jackie Brown, hell one of the leads was a guy who was doing stuff like Uncle Sam at the time. Did you ever see Uncle Sam?

There hasn't really been much talk about anyone in this movie beyond when they were being cast. They hasn't really been much about the other bad guys being played by Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell, and Sacha Baron Cohen in the movie either.
But DiCaprio was just at some Sony thing for the movie.

That's quite an absurd comment. Are you implying it's set in 2012? It's not.

It seems he frased it extremely badly and meant that a self-respecting 21st century black actor playing a slave in any time period is absurd.
