I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Sam Jackson will somehow be involved.

Strongly seconded. He definitely needs to stay behind the camera.

Great to hear that Waltz is involved in this. I've been looking forward to seeing him again after his superb showing in Basterds.

I wish he'd do his James Bond movie at some point, though.

I don't think they'll ever let him do that.

Why not? It would rake in money.

Yeah. I'm almost thinking this could be that movie.

Since his segment in Four Rooms, Tarantino hasn't really been a noticeable actor in his films.

He's probably better off doing his own thing.

Well, I think he'd do his best work on whatever he was enthused about. He really wanted to do Casino Royale, and I bet it would have been even better than Martin Campbell's - which was also great, but think of it in the sixties with Tarantino at the helm.

I think if they let him make a movie he wanted to make it would be great and I love to see a 60s Bond movie by Tarantino but that's not how studio franchises really operate. Especially the Bond movies.

Well, he got a hell of a lot of freedom with Inglourious Basterds.

I'd take a non-canon Bond movie by Tarantino over another "official" entry any day.

How about some sort of meta (a la JCVD) flick with Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan?

Well yeah. That wasn't a studio franchise (it wasn't even a remake of Inglorious Bastards). That's something he came up with on his own.

Since he is a big comic fan I would like to see him do a superhero film.
