I think Shanna, Ka-zar's wife cause a scene in the U.N. that will lead his position in power of the Savage Land to a free-for-all.

You see, for me they brought Hulk back from space too soon. They didn't know what to do with him (the characters) so they blasted him off and Planet Hulk was excellent, and I wish it had continued for at least a couple more years. Imagine it, him ruling, fighting off alien invaders and all sorts, maybe the Shi'ar empire, who knows.

Anyway, he came back and they put Banner in a can. Then Skaar came back and they tried to play happy families and it just felt awkward to me, convoluted and forced and I just wasn't interested. It was like trying to domesticate a tiger. It won't work and at some point it will turn and tear off your face. Same with him.

Putting Skaar in the Savage Land. Perfect. An absolutely perfect move. It's wild and a huge stinking jungle mess full of crazy dangers. So I just hope they leave him there for at least a couple of years, not to milk it, but because he belongs there a lot more than surburbia. The moment he comes back and starts fighting on the Avengers team in spandex or whatever is when I'll switch off.

I agree..keep Skaar on the savage land because the whole hulk family team is stupid because the Hulk wants to be alone, especially from Betty.

I may be in this just for the Moonboy and Devil Dinosaur appearance.

I like how Shanna deals with politics in such a fast and efficient yet relentless fashion.

And Ka-Zar wearing a business suit? I hardly noticed him on the first glance of that page.

"For decades, Ka-Zar’s rule over the Savage Land went uncontested – until now." Not so sure that's entirely accurate, but that aside, the art looks great and the story has me interested. Overall this could be a fun book. Can't wait.

I agree that this looks great and I hope that it has excellent writing. I hope the villain is well written as well ans poses a credible threat to Skaar and co. I would also love it if Skaar actually did become ruler of the Savage Land and had his own series after this. I think he works better in this environment then he does in like a city or something.

However, one thing I would love to see is Skaar meet either the Young Avengers or the New Mutants. I really would like for him to interact with the various Marvel teen heroes. It would be interesting to me to see how is personality and outlook on life would compare/contrast with their own.

Skaar was born in fire and his estranged dad used to beat on his mom. Draw your own conclusions.
